Actually, private firms have the liberty to treat their property as the want, as it is supposed to be.This limits local LGBT anti-discrimination laws to the employment realm.
Hahaha! I am dying that politicians are even discussing this - beyond absurd!Ah yes, the politics of bathroom use. This is apparently a major issue for most Americans. Never mind terrorism, healthcare, the economy, jobs, trade, race relations, religious freedom, campaign finance reform, income inequality. Bathrooms, that’s where we should focus our political resources.
It is incredibly sad that anyone even thinks we should enforce peoples delusions under penalty of law.Hahaha! I am dying that politicians are even discussing this - beyond absurd!
I honestly do not know a great deal about what it means to be transgendered, but I do not think that it is considered a delusion. I would have to do more research into how the psychiatric and medical communities address transgendered people. It is clearly not a topic that we have a lot of current information on though that is changing. I have known two transgendered people in my life and neither of them seemed delusional. For me, the subject is a mystery. It is incredibly sad that anyone even thinks we should enforce peoples delusions under penalty of law.
It isn’t bathroom use, at the bottom of this. It is the politics of undermining the traditional norms of American society, high have their roots in Judeo-Christian morals and faith. See Saul Alinsky’s rules for radicals.Ah yes, the politics of bathroom use. This is apparently a major issue for most Americans. The law is there to take care of those who flagrantly flaunt their delusions. if they are discreet nobody cares. We do have bigger fish to fry-it is unfortunate that the Left decided to make an issue about using bathrooms. I think that rather than promoting acceptance of these peoples delusions they should work o getting them help to overcome their mental illnessI honestly do not know a great deal about what it means to be transgendered, but I do not think that it is considered a delusion. I haven’t followed these emergent laws much and so I don’t know what started the hullabaloo. I’ve never thought twice about who was using a public bathroom with me and I doubt I ever will - that’s what strikes me as funny. I mean, how are these things enforceable - do people have to show their nether parts in order to enter? That seems intrusive!
In any event, as others have pointed out, it seems to me that our politicians have bigger fish to fry
I just did a little research on transgender. It is not considered a mental disorder or a delusion. I will stick with the scientists and the doctors on this one!The law is there to take care of those who flagrantly flaunt their delusions. if they are discreet nobody cares. Of course it is. A man who thinks he is woman is not deluded??? It became an issue only when the Left demanded we start catering to people’s delusionsI just did a little research on transgender. As to the law and the reason for it, who knows? I personally don’t consider it important or anything that I need to worry about. I suspect folks will keep using public bathrooms in the same way they always have.
We are not a part of the we doing this. All Christians should understand that the level of corruption regarding the legal system in recent years did not start with us.It is incredibly sad that anyone even thinks we should enforce peoples delusions under penalty of law.
The sad part is how many Catholics support itWe are not a part of the we doing this. All Christians should understand that the level of corruption regarding the legal system in recent years did not start with us.
Pope Francis:
“The family is threatened by growing efforts on the part of some to redefine the very institution of marriage, by relativism, by the culture of the ephemeral, by a lack of openness to life,” Francis said at a Mass in Manila. “These realities are increasingly under attack from powerful forces, which threaten to disfigure God’s plan for creation.”
These powerful forces are just as committed to their ideology as others are to reality.

People are welcome to their delusions. They are not welcome to impose them on society. Everyone should have access to the restroom that corresponds to their body parts. That is equal access.Of course it is. A man who thinks he is woman is not deluded??? It became an issue only when the Left demanded we start catering to people’s delusions
This happened slowly, gradually and stems from the gradual breakdown of the family that started in the late 1960s. Hippies, Anarchists, Radical Feminists, and others, including some radicals in the Church, gradually poisoned the Body of Christ in the West. I was saddened to watch the media transition, slowly, gradually, into supporting the unraveling of normalcy over the last 40 years. Today, dysfunctional living is being practiced by too many. On the radio, a religious said, “Too many Catholics are living like pagans.”The sad part is how many Catholics support it
In common parlance, deluded means to be deceived, tricked, etc… But in the field of psychiatry, “delusions” are a different thing all together and they often accompany certain mental illnesses.Of course it is. A man who thinks he is woman is not deluded??? It became an issue only when the Left demanded we start catering to people’s delusions
It is the politics of nosiness, which Republicans SHOULD be against since they generally complain the government under Democratic rule invades people’s privacy too much. But it seems the Republicans, in their own way, are also experts in doing this.It isn’t bathroom use, at the bottom of this. Transgender is not a mental illness and is not treated as such. This is accepted scientific fact today. Of course, it may change as doctors and scientists learn more. Or it may not.
I don’t understand the “Left” statement. There are both Conservatives and Progressives who accept our current scientific findings as regards the subject as fact. Facts just are - they don’t have a bias toward any particular political leaning regardless of what Stephen Colbert would have us think!![]()
They absolutely are. Neither side is content to live within the constitutional limits intended by the framers. State government, OTOH, must also live with the expectations set out by state constitutions, as NC did here.It is the politics of nosiness, which Republicans SHOULD be against since they generally complain the government under Democratic rule invades people’s privacy too much. But it seems the Republicans, in their own way, are also experts in doing this.
Cultural change is being imposed by law. We are not the governors or judges. A dictatorship has formed. And therein lies the problem .By accommodating these peoples delusions we make it worse
So what kind of illness is it? The folks who so suffer say their body is mismatched from their mind. Either the body or the mind is messed up. Why would we think the fault lies with the body and not the mind? Sure in our materialistic world the mind often gets dismissed. But this particular problem relies on there being a mind. If a man said he was really a chicken why would we assume his body was the problem and not his mind. Is that really how far off track we are? Sadly I think so.In common parlance, deluded means to be deceived, tricked, etc… But in the field of psychiatry, “delusions” are a different thing all together and they often accompany certain mental illnesses.
