What this law does is give people a basis for telling the 6-foot bearded man who just walked into the women’s locker room that he is not welcome, no matter what mental illness he may have.
But what about some of the masculine looking “bearded men” who just happen to be a female-to-male transgender persons who would now be required to use the women’s restroom in North Carolina? Some of these trans-men have taken hormones but have not yet had all the surgery and are still listed at female on their birth certificates.

It sounds like more problems will be created than solved by this bill. For one, a man who has transitioned physically and now identifies as female likely won’t be safe in a men’s restroom. How would most men respond to someone who appears to be female joining them in their space? From the article:

And why is the assumption made that men who have transitioned into females are sexual predators?
I just want you to know that I put you on official ignore. That is what I want you know.

If they can pass, they pass. This law isn’t calling for birth certificates on demand and genital inspections at each restroom door. If your example of a bearded woman walks into a men’s room and goes into a stall, nobody will question her. What this law is aimed at preventing are those individuals who use the self-reporting, non-objective nature of “transgender” to claim access for voyeuristic or predatory purposes - which is exactly what we have seen happen where “inclusivity” has overridden biological reality.

True. But that is how our GDP grows. Replacing cars, buying new refrigerators, buying the latest fashion even though all clothes are still wearable, etc
Well then why don’t we start smashing all our windows right now? Let’s get the economy roaring!

Yes, people replace things too fast or throw away good items, but that is done on a personal level. It may stir some economic activity, but actual wealth building is stunted. Take a look at the other thread where most Americans can’t pull together $400 in cash.

Most businesses where I live have single user restrooms with a look on the door, so I don’t know why this would be a big issue for most of them. If a man used the women’s restroom in most of these businesses, he would be in there alone and the only difference would be that it wouldn’t have a urinal in it.
A lot of businesses where I live have restrooms like that, too. I don’t care if both sexes use the same restroom as long as (1) there is a lock on the door, and (2) they lock the door when they are in there. I don’t want to walk in on anyone, male or female, nor do I want someone walking in on me. Asking for cleanliness is just too much, I guess, though some businesses manage to keep restrooms clean.

If business and money are lost in order to protect potentially the safety of children, women, and men or religious freedom, then that’s the price paid. If PayPal, the NBA, Bruce Springsteen etc. don’t want to do create new jobs, do a sports event or a concert, that should be up them, but as Ryan T. Anderson puts across, people should be able to have “freedom of conscience” in regards to expressing their “artistic gifts”. If business is going to be withdrawn in North Carolina because the Governor signed a bill which could in turn save women, children and men from possible perverted persons of any “gender indentity” from abusing the ability to go in any gender bathroom they choose, then again that’s the price to be paid.
Basically Charlotte is going to bear the brunt of the boycotts. They caused the problem in the first place by passing the “inclusive” ordinance the Legislature overturned. I doubt if the rest of NC cares how much Charlotte suffers

I’m sure that the whole state suffers to some extent when businesses or sports events decide to boycott the state. Cities like Charlotte might suffer the most, but the state undoubtedly loses tax revenues which hurts everyone.

So it is okay for people who pass to break the law?
In my view, this won’t be an issue of positive enforcement, but rather a complaint-response law. If a man has had sufficient hormones and/or surgery that he looks like a woman, I doubt there would be a complaint made unless his actual sex became apparent - something that, per most individuals suffering from the delusion of “transgender”, they try to avoid as much as possible.

You may not understand it, but that doesn’t make it a delusion. It would be nice if all men and women felt comfortable in their own bodies and if we were all attracted to the opposite sex. It would eliminate a lot of suffering and make life easier, but that’s not the world we live in. At some point you have to accept that and accept people for who they are. The world is not perfect. I don’t know what causes this for some people. I don’t know why there is so much pain in the world in general, but I do know that you always find God in the middle of pain, And God somehow creates out of pain, things of such great beauty. If you see beauty only where you expect to find it, you are missing out on so much. I thank God every day for my husband and children, my extended family and my wonderful friends, many of whom are gay and are some of the strongest, most compassionate and most loving people I know and it pains me that so many look at them and see only their sexuality and nothing more. When Jesus returns, do you think He will just appear at the Vatican one day, or will you find him among the poor and outcast of our society?

They claim to “really” be the opposite sex despite all physical evidence - up to and including fathering or birthing children - showing what sex they are. That’s just as much a delusion as me “identifying as” an Apache attack helicopter and claiming the right to be painted olive drab and fitted with Hellfire missiles based on that “identification”.

That does not mean we are to say or insinuate that sin is ok. The reason for ALL of the pain is sin. We, in our fallen state are weak. Many of us (all of us) are slaves to sin. In one way or another or several ways like me.

The message from our Lord is not to tell others that it is OK to remain in sin. Otherwise Christ would have suffered FOR NOTHING.

It is not ok, and it down right sinful and contradictory to the entire moral law to tell anyone that it is perfectly fine to NOT REPENT and remain locked into their willful sinful state.

That goes for me as well. I myself find myself not standing up for the absolute moral law. I have to confess these things for it is sin.

Wake up Catholics. This world is deceiving us. Beware of the danger.

God bless.

Something Trump says some things that make sense and I actually agree with him on some things:

I agree with Trump on this one. Once upon a time, it was the fear of gay men using the same bathroom as straight men; now the fear has shifted to transgenders. We never seem to learn.

However, the boycotting of NC by certain artists and companies due to this law is, in my view, a little overblown as well. Why should the public suffer due to their political leaders?

Then they need to change their birth certificate

by this thinking, we hsould have no fear of anything. We should allow past child sexual abusers to use children’s bathrooms, etc.

Common sense has to come into play.

Comparing transgenderism to slavery or homosexualism is a far stretch

So the law is only after the population that does not pass as well.

It is costing NC a lot of money for such an ineffective law.

Donald Trump amends stance on North Carolina transgender bathroom law

“I think that local communities and states should make the decision,” he went on to say.
And of course businesses and sports organizations like the NBA can also make decisions about whether to do business in North Carolina. And the Federal Government has also indicated that they might be forced to withhold millions of dollars in funds from schools and universities in North Carolina because of Title IX.

If they are taking a principled stand, should money matter?

You’ll have to ask the people of North Carolina that question. If they don’t mind losing millions of dollars from businesses and the Federal Government, that’s their decision. Without all those federal funds because of Title IX, the University of North Carolina might become a second rate university that talented professors would not want to work for.
