STIOFÁN:
The parades commission was set up by the Government to monitor parades and their ruling is final, the police can and have allowed them through where public order is under threat.
This parade was banned by the parades commission, so those that went against them broke the law.
Oh ! juancross and not all republician’s are murders, I have republician views, my aspiration is for a unified Ireland, I haven’t murdered anyone much less thrown a stone.
This link is sickening, so innocent, I’m ashamed of this country. irishnews.com/images/13092005/frontpage.pdf
Stiofan i couldn’t agree more, the quote came from a peace loving non catholic from Antrim who like you wants a unified land, i totally respect and love the people of Ireland and hope one day she is unified, i have a son who has been treated so kindly by a family who he will one day marry into and through the grace of god give me Irish granchildren, i too have republican views but listen to all voices. Fermanagh done well last year in the all Ireland, 😉 my son is a County Down lad now An Dun] and goes to all their games.

Although the vast majority of us would agree with your assessment of this imagery and would roundly condemn any act that results in violence or hatred, may I respectfully suggest the “address” you yourself use on this forum is also a provocation. County Fermanagh is a beutiful part of IRELAND and is no less Irish for whatever “rule” you feel it is under. To use such provocative language does neither Ireland or yourself as a Catholic credit.

I am no less nationalist than you would appear to be and, I would delight in seeing a united Ireland but, that unity HAS to be a unity of ALL people of Ireland, Catholic and Protestant alike and this form of unnecesary rhetoric simply perpetuates the hatreds built over many years.

May I respectfully suggest you look again at this “address” and apply a degree of Catholic love rather than hate.

Yours in Christ.

Well is my country occupied or not, is Ireland occupying England ? no, is England occupying Ireland ? yes, get the facts right.
And no I won’t change my address, I do live in an occupied part of Ireland, if you have a problem with that, then thats your problem, not mine !!!
And I only put that up because some Americans refer to this place as occupied Ireland, I’ve seen it on this forum, so if they can live with it then what’s your problem?
And right now I have had enough of this forum, so this is my final postings, goobye from “occupied Ireland” with friends like you, who needs enemies.

Many of us dont really understand the problems that have been caused by the British occupation of Ireland, and the world in general seems to have a need to hate someone or another lately. I hope you have a change of heart Stiofan and continue to use these forums, big juancross fae occupied Edinburgh, Scotland. 😉
:blessyou:

Stiofan. I am not even deigning to weigh in on this thread. Leave them to their opinions.

The Irish occupation must be talked about. But, it cannot be talked about in a climate where strong opinions are honoured at the same time that a disdain for history is held up as acceptable.

And, since it cannot be talked about in a broader sense, then it is left to us who bother to read and inform ourselves to conduct this conversation.

There have been ample opportunites for ‘dialogue.’ Talk turned out to be cheap where there was no reasonable need for it to have been.
