Hmmm… so is this true?? I get the idea from the article that that Church preached anti-Semitism as a doctrine of the Faith???

I’ve heard all this before but I never believed it since Pope Pius XII helped so many Jews in World War 2…
The Roman Catholic Church has a long, long history of anti-Semitism. There are scholars who take on the task of documenting everything from the writing of the Church Fathers to terrible acts of forced baptisms and killings to expulsions. It is all intertwined with the theology of the Church’s understanding of the Jews. It seems almost demonic at times.

Jewish scholars have had very little love for the Church. Now, with Nostra Aetatae, there has been a shift in relations, which is very good indeed. I wonder how deep the anti-Semitism goes, however. We see it reemerge in pockets throughout Europe.
