NOT pregnant...VERY BUMMED!

Here is a prayer for you:

O Good St. Gerard, powerful intercessor before the throne of God, wonder-worker of our day, I call upon you and seek your aid. You know that our marriage has not as yet been blessed with a child and how much my husband and I desire this gift. Please present our fervent pleas to the Creator of Life from whom all parenthood proceeds and beseech him to bless us with a child whom we may raise as his child and heir of heaven.
Amen.

Praying for you!!

Oh - I wish I could give you a hug! My husband and I TTC#1 for 2+ years. It was the most difficult time of my life. I can completely understand the way you are feeling!! We were diagnosed with so many things that made us feel like it would never happen: endometriosis, poor ovulation, luteal phase defect, husband has issues as well…then the most devistating of all - I have a “classic bicornuate uterus”. Our RE old us not to TTC because of the many risks to a baby when you have this defect. We prayed and in our hearts we knew that God wanted us to be parents. We moved on to adoption and completed ALL the paperwork. Then, like nothing we ever expected…I was pregnant!!!

I want you to know that God has a child for you. If your vocation is to be a mother, you will have a child. Whether it be through adoption or another miracle, it will happen. I will pray that God sends you the perfect child for you!

Pray for me as well! Our son is nearly 14 months old and we would be thrilled with a brother or sister for him!!! In God’s perfect time…

Thank you SO much, Katie for your kind words. Your story has given me much hope. There was a woman I saw on a forum who tried for twenty some years with no luck. When she was in her early forties, she and her hubby conceived their first child. I DO believe in miracles and the power of prayer. Thank you SO much for your prayers and kindness. Don’t worry about it 😉 I was born just 2 months shy of my parent’s three year wedding anniversary. They had just about given up trying and then my Mom found out she was pregnant with me. Pray pray pray and soon you’ll have your baby.🙂

When I read your prayer my heart felt like it sank. I to have been trying to have a baby. I suffered a miscarriage last year in Jan. then I stopped trying until last summer in August but no baby yet. Sometimes my period plays tricks on me and comes late, but then when I really think I’m pregnant and take the test; it comes neg of course then my period wants to show up. I sometimes feel that maybe GOD doesn’t want me to be a mother. I just want to experience what it is being pregnant, and giving birth. Even though I hear how painful it can be, but I believe it’s worth it. So, I know what you are going through.

Prayers for you Convert and all those having trouble.

My wife and I were married 6 years before our first child was born. Talk about anxiety, depression, and feeling of despair. We were both 27. It was also 6 years before the next one, too.

We realized that God’s plan for us then was to know each other better, be comfortable as a couple, enjoy each other’s lives fully, and become stable in our careers before being blessed with the awesome and wonderful gift of children.

It also comes when you least expect it. We had just bought a house we couldn’t afford and she was between jobs and surprise -he’s now a pre-existing condition and paid for on credit card!!! We still laugh about it.

I know it’s hard and difficult not to think on it constantly, but don’t let it consume you. For now, be a wonderful couple and enjoy your new married life together and grow deeper in that loving relationship. It will strengthen you beyond belief and the gifts of little feet may soon follow. God Bless you both.

I will add you to my prayer list. My wife and I went through infertility and I know how painful it can be for a couple. I used to get tremendously disappointed when my wife got her period each month. What made it worse was all of the people who constantly asked us if we were going to have children. Even though it may not feel like it at times, God has a plan for your life and does things in HIS time.

A word of advice… my wife had a simple test called an HSG, which is basically an x-ray of the fallopian tubes. I’m not sure of the specifics, but I believe they put some sort of dye in the tubes and we were told that sometimes this will clear out some of the debris that is blocking the tubes. Sure enough, my wife got pregnant right after the test (without any fertility drugs!). Shortly after that the doctors discovered that we were having twins!

Don’t give up hope… I will be praying!

Thanks so much for sharing your story. Thanks also for the prayers. You are too kind. I have gotten very close to my husband since we don’t have kids. We are best friends as well as spouses. 🙂

**I thought I’d resurrect my own thread here. :o

I’m going through a big struggle with these same issues again and could use additional prayers/encouragement.

The only thing that has changed is that it has now been twenty instead of fifteen months without conceiving. 😊

Just re-reading these posts has helped a lot. You all are so kind!

Hello, well I suggest you not to worry that much because, at the end of the day (if you already did all you can) God is the one who decides. So just be happy and try no distance from God.
Count with my prayer.
