I remember the article about the British soldier…

Terrible behavior and I think I might possibly react in some of the ways the others did in response to news:(

I really hoped that we as a country had learned something after Vietnam. Sadly, I guess I was wrong. Different day, same foecal matter. When will we learn that our troops do not set national policy. “Baby killer”? God bless and keep our armed forces!

Having a brother that is a Marine, and a father that is retired Army, this makes me…beyond angry. Just complete disbelief at some people’s stupidity.

This is rather off-topic but maybe one of you can satisfy my curiosity. The other day at the post office I saw a soldier in fatigues wearing a rank insignia I never saw before, one chevron with a star under it and five rockers. Turn this upwards to get the idea:
<*)))))
Has the Army or the Marines changed their insignias? I know sergeants usually have three chevrons, plus however many rockers, depending.

This is an excruciatingly ignorant situation. Soldiers should be welcomed and given freebies. Never underestimate the ability of people to take the low road.

This is true on more than one level…

Sounds like Air Force.

This is for the US Air Force:

Click here for an image for the Marine’s. (It’s too large to put in here and I don’t know how to make the image smaller)

The Marines picture you linked says “Starfleet Command.”

Navy & Air Force have their chevrons pointing downward with the Air Force chevrons being curved.

Being primary ground units, the Army and Marines both have their chevrons pointing upward.
