Exactly. I’m not a fan of it either, but don’t viciously attack an artistic endeavor with the kind of angry rhetoric that you did and then when asked specifically what you find wrong with it roll over and say, “I’m just being a good little Catholic.”
“artistic”? I hung out with so-called artists in the 1970s. All they wanted was freeedom for perversion. To show topless women for “artistic” reasons. So-called ‘art theaters’ showed perversity dressed in high sounding words by self-proclaimed critics.

I watched a scene from the VM online and I was totally disgusted. It took me back to the Free Love – have sex with anyone – 1960s. I was there. The Hippies, Anarchists and Radicals desperately wanted this. And I heard their voice as the actress said her lines.

And yes, being Catholic means being obedient and understanding the words of our sheperds. We are not obedient because we lack understanding. We are obedient because the Holy Spirit of God speaks through His Bishops and Priests who were ordained to give us spiritual food in truth, and teach us the right way to live in the secular world.

Peace,
Ed

Even some modern art revels in the perversion of form and color. But when dunking a crucifix in a jar of urine can be called art, that makes a mockery of the true art. It requires no more of a person than a child playing with his own excrement. Well. there are four-letter names for such stuff.

Exactly what I suspected.
Oh, not Catholic huh? If you were, you MIGHT understand, but in this day and age with some of the liberal catholics postings I have read, you just might not. 🙂

Just because no one understands it does not make it art. Just because it is perverse and accepted by unprincipled elites does not make it art. Bishops speak about moral matters. Perverted “art” certainly involves morals.

I was raised Catholic and I attended Catholic schools, so I am familiar with the tenets of the faith.

However, I believe it is impossible to judge whether or not something is art if you have never seen/read it.
