Novena for the Holy Souls in Purgatory

I have not been following this thread, but I did finish that Novena last week and seeing some comments here makes me eagerly want to do it a second time.

I have to admit that I was going to do a second novena and never did it. But since God is outside of time, we would not be to late to start a second novena now. So here goes.

Day 1 Novena #2

I thought we were praying for the holy souls in purgatory for the whole month of November; that’s why I’m now on day 14??

Well the original intent of the thread was to say a novena during this month. The novena was 9 days long. Some people took it a step farther and decided to keep praying or pray a second novena. However, the way you are doing it sounds like a good idea too. I am going to say another Novena starting today and will finish December 4th.

Jesus, my Savior I have so often deserved to be cast into hell how great would be my suffering if I were now cast away and obliged to think that I myself had caused my damnation. I thank Thee for the patience with which Thou hast endured me. My God, I love Thee above all things and I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee because Thou art infinite goodness. I will rather die than offend Thee again. Grant me the grace of perseverance. Have pity on me and at the same time on those blessed souls suffering in Purgatory. day #7 of novena #2 down the tubes… since i’ll have one more day in the month after i finish the novena, maybe i’ll do a 9 hour novena on the 30th:cool: 👍
