Now CAF is closing, where will you go now? Any ideas?

There looks to be quite a few options IWG,there’s a couple of threads about them and who might be going where 🤔

I signed up at another site BUT I am not going back, nor FB or ins–
I thought about it an d I am using that time to spend more into my Bible…
God Bless everyone and be safe

that is the position I am leaning to as well. God bless everyone

I doubt those that are saying they will not go anywhere, will not maintain that mentality for very long. The urge to debate is way to strong.

I’ve lurked on r/Catholicism for years now so I will continue to browse there. I don’t post to Reddit but I’ll probably create an account eventually; I lurked here for many years before I finally decided to post and participate. Some other forums have been floated around on threads here but none of them seem active enough for me, yet. I’ll maybe wait and see what picks up, if anything.

I know there is also some places on discord and a few on telegram.

Actually, God has given me the grace to abandon the debate habit. That’s why I won’t be joining any other forums either. I’m surprised a Catholic would be so cynical about God’s grace.

Yet you are debating right now.

That wasn’t my intent. I just wanted to let you know that you can give up the habit too if you pray for help.

This is one reason I so rarely post anymore. I try to help someone and snarky comebacks are all the thanks I get. Oh well, I don’t do these things to get thanked…

Debating by itself is morally neutral - it all depends on one’s attitude to it or the environment which may cause one to have a negative experience of view of things. I know some people who like debating and are really patient and charitable, as well as efficient in communicating to the audience.

Another possibility though is that some have a preference for non-debate forums, where they’d like to discuss and enjoy talking about things that interest them without arguing, so something like this may happen to suit you more now.

But yeah, if you think taking a break from debating and forums in general will do you some good, then it’s certainly understandable to refrain from that. Peace and joy are all good gifts God wants us to enjoy and appreciate!

Where did you find this out? I love CAF (except for the times when things get carried away 😅 )

Yes, that is definitely where I am at myself.

Friends, or friendly acquaintances, sharing views is fine.
Debating doesn’t do anything for me unless it’s part of my job and I’m getting paid to do it, in which case there’s also a great many rules governing how to go about it.

Why is it closing? It’s such a blessed help to those in Prayer Intentions. If it’s financial difficulty, is there anywhere I can donate?

The board voted to close it because it was economically feasible to keep it open.
