The number of seminarians in the United States has risen to 3,608–the highest number since the early 1990s–with some seminaries experiencing their highest enrollment in decades.

People looked at me funny when I said i alsmost had as many ordinations as weddings this year. 1 permanent deacon and two transitional who will be ordained this may. Needless to say I am excited for them! Thank heavens for those have listened to the calling!!!

While I’m happy to welcome news of more seminarians, I wonder if these enrollments would be less exciting if compared with more advanced means of measurement (e.g., per capita).
