No. That is a tiny little piece of what the article said.
Looking at the whole article, it clearly made the point that I had made in responding to your post.

The idea that the article said “exactly” what you said, is just not true.
The article quite clearly noted the apples and oranges comparison make by Trump. And that was the crux of the criticism of Trump;s remark.

Then when Flynn’s call was discovered , the question became why is Spicer saying it didn’t happen.
Then the VP. AND then Flynn to the WP, THEN TO THE FBI

So, given that what i said the article contained, it actually contained, it is exactly as i said.

My son is reading the Harry Potter books. He tells me things that happen along the way. If i used your standards i would have to scold him for only referencing the portion of the book he wanted to tell me about and not giving me a complete, detailed book report. What a sad existence it would be if i acted that way.
 
And if i said “beer contains water” i would be exactly right in saying that. just because i say nothing of malted barley, yeast or hops does not mean “beer contains water” is not exactly correct. Again, you insist on adding more than what was said in order to claim victory.

To pursue the analogy: you made a representation that a sufficient characterization of the contents of beer was not note that it contains water. It was quickly pointed out that there is more to the story, and a full list of ingredients was presented. Your response seems to consist of pointing out that water is among the ingredients as thought that were some sort of vindication.

Bottom Line: Trump’s statement was worthy of criticism. The reasons for its being worthy of criticism has been pointed out - not the straw man matter of the number of days of construction of the Empire state building - but the inappropriate comparison of project time to construction time. To miss that point is to neglect everything but the water.
 
you certainly get an “A” for effort but again you add more to what i said. you can think the statement was worthy of criticism, thats fine. What I was criticizing about poltifact was their “close” assessment. It was petty and indicative of an agenda. I am not missing anything. i was talking about the “close” portion and only that portion. You are the one creating a straw man by arguing about stuff i never said due to some incessant need to be correct and be seen as the smartest person on CAF.
 
I deeply appreciate the plethora of laughs you have given me in this thread but we are starting to go in circles so i’m going to bow out. I’ll see you in the next thread where you argue points nobody is making so you can “be correct” and feel superior.
