Looks like Rev. Wright got what he wanted.

:sad_yes::bighanky::sad_bye:

We truly are a nation divided. And a nation lost too, I think.

I am stunned. How could so many people vote that way, to re-elect that man, considering the last four years? How?
I really don’t know. I cannot understand how ANYONE could vote for him. It’s really unbelievable to me.

Some people are saying that the Country is changing. There are a lot of people around that truly believe that the government can indeed take care of them better than anyone else including themselves. It is indeed a sad state of affairs.

Oh, and btw, I am waiting to hear how the “Catholic” vote went this time around.

*Not to us, O LORD, not to us but to your name be the glory, because of your love and faithfulness. Why do the nations say, “Where is their God?” Our God is in heaven; he does whatever pleases him. * (Psalm 115:1-3)

Wohi hua jo Manzur-e-kuda tha!

And as a member of the Roman Catholic Church, do you think that Barack’s positions coincide or conflict with your religious beliefs?
Some coincide, some conflict.

I could say the same with Romney, since he is not Catholic either.

However, Catholics consider that one will promote greater intrinsic evils than the other one would have.

But that does not mean he is not the legitimate President.

I’d like to recall CCC 1900:
The duty of obedience requires all to give due honor to authority and to treat those who are charged to exercise it with respect, and, insofar as it is deserved, with gratitude and good-will.

Please people…recognize who that is! Fear is not from the Lord…yes, we are all very sick about this, but Jesus hasn’t left us!!! He is right here with us!!! We don’t know what His plan is. None of this means that we have lost our eternal home. We just have to do the best we can to serve Our Lord and those around us. And fight for the truth which is Jesus Christ.

May God Bless us all in our Journey.

Amen to that!Jesus,Mary and Joseph, pray for us.

My loyalty to America has nothing to do with my loyalty to God. I give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to God what belongs to God. And I did learn a lesson or two from St. Thomas More on getting my loyalties straight.

We are still one nation under God. Christ is still our Lord and King of the Universe.

But if person X is elected President, then he is our President, period. And I support my President in all except those things which go against the divine law.
And as a member of the Roman Catholic Church, do you expect your religious beliefs to conflict or coincide with Barack’s positions? What would you say then, on the matter of loyalty, to the Chinese Catholics in China, if they had to choose between the state and the Vatican?

I, personally, don’t even want to live anymore. Truly. I don’t care. Please God let me die tonight in my sleep I do not want live on this planet anymore.
This post is concerning. If you’re seriously this upset, then I suggest that you seek some professional counseling. If not, then I think this is a little out of line.

The plate holders won. Simple as that.

You can start with the the bishops themselves. I blame them for the ignorance of their flocks.

“The road to hell is paved with the skulls of bishops.” St. John Chrysostom
I do remind you of the words of St. Ignatius of Antioch, Church Father and disciple of St. John the Evangelist:
As the Lord did nothing without the Father, either by Himself or by the Apostles, so neither do ye anything without the bishop…Be obedient to the bishop…follow your bishop, as Jesus Christ followed the Father…He that honoureth the bishop is honoured of God; he that doeth aught without the knowledge of the bishop rendereth service to the devil"

thank you for your (name removed by moderator)ut.

NEGATIVE. Obama stands for abortion and taking away religious liberties. Rendering unto Caesar does not mean that we are to throw away all morality and common sense. If rendering unto Caesar means pandering to Satan, well… let them come and take it. Molon Labe.
I am against abortion and in favor of religious liberties.

However the President is the President. He has authority and that authority deserves respect. Review CCC 1900. I posted it below.

This deserves an answer. It is a question of degrees but is a serious and relevant question for American Catholics now.

I am very serious. I am awake enough to see that we are only a hair away from being those “previous generations”. We are in serious, serious trouble as a society.
Whether or not you realize it, you still have it better than so many people in the world. You live in a country where you can vote for the leader, where you can openly criticize the leader, and where you can get the food, clothing, and medical care that you need. You live in a first world country.

So many people would be delighted to have what you take for granted every day. I’m not particularly religious and I’m happy with the election, but I think that you need to look beyond these election results and count your blessings. Honestly, this comes off as a slap in the face to all of the people who would love to have the luxuries that we have here.

And if you’re being serious and are truly struggling with these feelings as a result of the election, then I hope you find the help that you need. And I’m not being sarcastic.

Edit: I see that you already addressed me above. Oh well, I’ll leave these thoughts too.

Let’s not get too discouraged, folks. Remember that we are in it for the long haul, the very long haul, and we know that good wins in the end!

Take a deep breath and realize this isn’t the end of the world, folks. stop complaining. Oh, and Obama IS IN FACT your president. ONE NATION, with ONE president. whether or not you agree with him on many issues, he is STILL YOUR PRESIDENT.

Sadly. We go not with the sword, but the Spirit; and not for want but for need.

I, personally, don’t even want to live anymore. Truly. I don’t care. Please God let me die tonight in my sleep I do not want live on this planet anymore.
Please don’t throw your salvation away. I will pray for you.
