If Catholicism would be outlawed in America, all hell will break loose.
No it wouldn’t. Weekly mass attendance is in the 17%-24% range, depending on which research organization you believe. I’m not sure what the other approximately 75% might do if they were really threatened for being Catholic, if they can’t even be bothered to show up for 45 minutes once a week.

It’s not the numbers that I’m talking about. I’m talking about setting an example.
If the Obama administration can outlaw Catholicism, imagine what it can do to other creeds which would defy it.

We all need to prepare ourselves. Indeed, there will be a purging/cleansing occurring in our most Holy church. Our Lady of Fatima spoke of this…
I don’t know what that all means, but what I do have a sense of is that for the first time in our nation’s history the number of people who expect the government to solve all their problems now exceeds the number of people who believe each person should take responsibility for themselves. That was also reflected in today’s vote, and I believe this new demographic landscape could very well put this nation into a death spiral from which it cannot recover. The new majority will eventually cause the bankruptcy of our country as they continue to elect politicians who promiss to take care of all their needs.

I have a feeling that since the Catholic Church opposes the HHS mandate among other things, then the Obama administration may just as well outlaw Catholicism.
Mmmm. It’s not that drastic. It’s just that the Catholic Church is going to have to change some things and I think that’s coming. It’ll be painful for a lot of people, but we’ll get there.

Four years.
That’s not nice. But it may be four years that the Church can use to clean up the entanglements that we’ve been in, and get our priorities straight. It’s not all bad. Although it’s not going to be easy.

The Cardinal said 2 Lents. He said that before lent last year, so you do the math.

That’s all conjecture on their part, Abyssinia. The HHS mandate has NOT been struck down. It will go into effect, unless something dramatic had happened, like Romney being elected. That DIDN’T HAPPEN.

Yes, there are some lawsuits out there, and they may eventually amount to something, but some of them have been just plain thrown out of court, and that could still happen. These things take time. And we no longer have time.

It is possible that the HHS mandate will take effect and sometime later something could happen in the courts to modify it, but it’s almost a locked down certainty that is going to take effect. The odds against it are tiny now. Romney was the big chance we had, and that’s GONE.
HHS mandate was not struck down because it was not being judged independently. None of the lawsuits that were thrown out were right because the mandate was found consitutional, they were for varying reasons such as the mandate not having gone in to full effect

Romney was the way to get rid of the HHS mandate but sadly he has not been elected so there needs to be another way found to get rid of the mandate

Exactly and your other post was real good too.

Those who voted for Obama, voted against our economy and our wellbeing. We may have some serious prices to pay and we can thank all those who voted for Obama. They take jobs from others and yet, pretend to be concerned about their fellow man. The rich already pay 60% of this countries income taxes yet, we want them to pay more and more while half the country does not pay income taxes.

The market may well crash even though it has done well for the most part under Obama because we’ve printed money. The liquidity.

Oh, well, the evangelical protestants are in this with us, and they know it. We’ve gotten a lot of support from them actually.

Good luck. You have less than 60 days.

Bread and circuses. The Romans survived it, most of them anyway, and so will we.

True.

I’m worried more for my country. Since the Obama administration wants to impose population control here, then his victory could mean that he’s still going to force my people into population control.

Cnn reports Obama has reached 270 seats and has been elected.

A sad day for abortion rights, but overall universal healthcare for all.
thank you and good night, know if they could only switch to the metric system, you guys are just like Canada 🙂

Abyssinia is correct about the “full effect” part however, that’s what has been a ruling at least in one case. So that’s not about the 60 days, until the end of the year.

What exactly do you mean by that?
The number of people we employ and in what capacity. No changes to doctrine.
Not compromise on doctrine or purpose. Simply a different way of doing things on the ground. What we were doing was obviously not working anyway.

We seem to have some disbelief that the HHS mandate is real, or that it’s going to go into effect. Is that what I’m hearing?
