The false illusion of hope and aspiration bought for another four years. 🤷

ObamaTax does nothing to fix the cost problem. In fact, it will become worse. The more pervasive insurance becomes, the high the providers will set their costs. If they are cost-capped by the government, many providers will simply stop practicing. If the government going to force doctors to provide treatment against their will? What kind of dictatorial state do you want to live in?
Pft on dictatorship

I come from a constitutional monarchy (not codified) with a parliamentary democracy and a publicly funded health and disability services.

Politcians are going to attack religious freedom more because now they think they can get away with it

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety. ~Benjamin Franklin

I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them. ~Thomas Jefferson

God’s Promise and Warning

11 Thus Solomon finished the house of the Lord and the king’s palace, and successfully completed all that [c]he had planned on doing in the house of the Lord and in his palace.

12 Then the Lord appeared to Solomon at night and said to him, ā€œI have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice. 13 If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send pestilence among My people, 14 and My people [d]who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15 Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the [e]prayer offered in this place. 16 For now I have chosen and consecrated this house that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually. 17 As for you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, even to do according to all that I have commanded you, and will keep My statutes and My ordinances, 18 then I will establish your royal throne as I covenanted with your father David, saying, ā€˜[f]You shall not lack a man to be ruler in Israel.’

It’s time to pray and serve God, hold fast to the Church’s teachings…I’m afraid we are in for a tough ride…

I’m disconnecting from the news now for a bit…I’ve got to pray more, read scripture and Catechism, pray more Rosary, get to weekday Mass more often, go pray before the Blessed Sacrament…

and remember ā€œNothing is impossible with God.ā€

Hang in there, pray and Trust in God…He will be with us…

According to fox news Obama won 59 million to Romney 57 million approx

I want to know why the polls were so wrong. Gallup and rasmussen showed this was a right race
Well, it was fairly tight in the popular vote. Even in most of the swing states, it was fairly close. Remember that every poll has a margin of error – and a difference of just 2-3% is within the poll’s margin of error, but a difference of 2-3% is enough to win all the electoral votes for that state.

Evidently, America is in an incipient decline. Yesterday’s presidential election was our last chance to reverse it. Unfortunately, America decided to go the way of the Dodo. With his winning a second term in the White House, Barack Obama will bring more dependency, more entitlement spending, more federal debt, and more dependency on foreign lenders.
America is going to be like Europe which ironically is cutting back on the welfare state.

Yeah, yeah, I know. I’ve heard it all already. This is really old and the election is over with. Now to deal with the consequences, aka the HHS mandate and all the carnage it’s going to cause.

If you really think all the issues are interchangeable: scborromeo.org/ccc/para/2271.htm

Do you own a catechism? More importantly, do you know what it says?
Yes, I do own a catechism, I have read it and yes I do know what it says, thank you.

On the other hand he is fixing illegal immigration; very soon we’ll be climbing the fence to get to Mexico.

What happened was, people assumed with polls showing lower democrat enthusiasm that the state and national polls that showed democrats with an advantage using a 2008 turn out model were wrong

Polls had never been balanced according to political affiliation. This was a canard that Republicans seized on in an effort to keep hope alive when it was clear that Gov. Romney was losing.

I’d suggest they review the Catechism, Part Three, Section One, Chapter Two, Article 2, Paragraph I.
Thanks R_C, I agree with this…

1903 Authority is exercised legitimately only when it seeks the common good of the group concerned and if it employs morally licit means to attain it. If rulers were to enact **unjust laws **or take measures contrary to the moral order, such arrangements would not be binding in conscience. In such a case, ā€œauthority breaks down completely and results in shameful abuse.ā€

This is where we are in history, will we stand up against the immoral actions and laws of this nation or will we stand with truth which teh Vatican proclaims…I’ll take the latter.

May God have mercy on our country and our world.

China’s Communist Party was first to congratulate Obama. Birds of the same feather flock together. Obama and China… a match made in Hades!

The election of Obama has left me hoping that the GOP will realize that its shameful campaign that has been going on since 2008 is ineffective. Negative tactics are insufficient to vitalize a political party. I don’t mean things like ā€œnegative ads,ā€ I mean the tendency to run AGAINST Obama rather than FOR some clearly defined principles.

The GOP has four years to get its act together. Hopefully those four years won’t be spent wailing about the Obama administration. They will be better spent defining WHAT the Republican Party stands for. That’s not something that has been clearly defined other than as some coalition of people who disagree with the President on one or more of several major issues. That’s not a strong enough coalition, as we saw today.

So to sum it up… I am completely unsuprised by the re-election of Obama. Honestly, the GOP deserved to lose. The party as a whole has to take a good, hard, look in the mirror and try to define what it sees. Then it needs to find a few charismatic leaders to communicate that POSITIVE message to the American public. Instead of being the party AGAINST Obama, it needs to become the party FOR real, clearly defined solutions and principles.

My hopes are for Rand Paul in 2016.

Unfortunately, the republicans are too, i don’t know i don’t want to use the word stupid, but stuck in negative mode, for this to happen. They don’t want to reach out. They’d rather just be sticks in the mud. Also, I think they don’t have an answer because they have a base that doesn’t need one. White men in the GOP are like Blacks in the Democratic Party. They will keep voting for that party, even if it is the worse thing for them. I predict there will be much of the same the next four years sadly.
