You know it’s bunk. She knows it’s bunk. It’s harmless, so what’s the harm in playing with them like toys?

The Occult is a lie, so yes, it is bunk. However, it’s the liar in question that make it dangerous. Things hold onto these objects, and both subtly and not so subtly assault the senses and the soul. I’m assuming you’re an athiest, but whether you believe what I’m saying or not doesn’t change its truth.

I almost always wear a Crucifix 🙂 Sometimes but very rarely I wear a St. Simon the Zealot (the Apostle) medal. But I was wearing one tonight and I walked into the next room when she pulled the stuff out! It came up in conversation and her friend opened the drawer and tried to throw it away but she said she had to bury it. I told her to give it to a priest instead, and not to give it more power than it really has.
That’s good advice. Even if it is from a Bears fan, I would have to concur. Get rid of it and don’t give it too much meaning.

Objects used in these types of actions, may well bring bad things upon those where they are stored.

In the Old Testiment, God warned his people not to take objects of other peoples cult for themselves. And that they should not even keep the gold and silver from them.

–Deut 7.25f:
“The images of their gods you are to burn in the fire. Do not covet the silver and gold on them, and do not take it for yourselves, or you will be ensnared by it, for it is detestable to the LORD your God. 26 Do not bring a detestable thing into your house or you, like it, will be set apart for destruction. Utterly abhor and detest it, for it is set apart for destruction.”

I possessed a significant amount of this sort of stuff my priest thought it quite serious but said that as long as it was not used and was kept away then it was safe enough to leave until he could come over and exorcise it/bless the house.

So until he came over it was kept in a box which was sprinkled inside and out with Holy Salt and water and had St. Anthony’s brief attached as well as images of St. Michael and Our Lord casting out Demons. After a while Fr came over and exorcised it etc and what could be burnt and buried was.
