why protest when you can riot?
Praise the lord!!! i can’t believe i’m reading something i like…The Church forbids FORCED communism. It is totally fine with voluntary communism (also called communalism), as long as people give up their private property voluntarily. (I.e., cloistered religous communities that take a vow of poverty). The Church doesn’t require us to live this way, but make it permissible.
Most, if not all, of the rich saints reliquished all their worldly wealth/goods and donated them to the poor.Tthe Catholic Church grants the possibility of a holy rich man, and in fact, has a few rich saints (St. Louis, St. Wenscenslaus). What is not allowable is communism. The Catholic Church teaches us that we are to respect private property rights.
I can’t, and neither can anyone else. Original sin is a mystery, and there are no explanations for mysteries. And what sinful action did they exactly do? Please explain.
We don’t know what the sin consisted of. If you take the literal view of Sacred Scripture, of course, it consisted of Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit, but just as legitimate is the interpretation that the fruit is allegorical or symbolic for some other action
If you’re thinking that I believe the “eating of the fruit” is allegorical for sexual intercourse, you couldn’t possibly be more mistaken.:
I THINK I KNOW AND YOU KNOW WHAT IM TRYING TO GET INTO. I WOULD LIKE YOU TO TELL WHAT YOU BELIEVE IT IS. I CANNOT BE MISTAKEN AND I DO BELIEVE I KNOW WHAT YOUR INTERPRETATION IS:tsktsk::tsktsk: you are a bad boy my dear brother…

Not all the saints indeed. I gave two examples. I could also point to King David who was a man after God’s own heart despite his wealth. It is not money, but the love of money, or attachment to wealth, that is evil. All the saints that maintained wealth were very generous with that wealth and not attached to it. It was theirs by virtue of position or title, but they belonged heart and soul to God. The Church has consistently taught the right to ownership, as derived from the Commandment, “Thou shalt not steal”. This is not something one can dissent from. The condemnation of communism was not based on Russia, but on divine law and the right of ownership. Most, if not all, of the rich saints reliquished all their worldly wealth/goods and donated them to the poor.
I am very proud of my Catholic Faith. I will respect what the Catholic Church teaches but it does not mean I have to agree with everything that it teaches…"

are you sure i need to polish up on my theology or maybe you should? are you catholic? do you believe that jesus who was born around 2000 years ago was conceived of the holy spirit, born of the VIRGIN MARY? who is jesus to you?If you’re thinking that I believe the “eating of the fruit” is allegorical for sexual intercourse, you couldn’t possibly be more mistaken.
I personally think the “eating of the forbidden fruit” is allegorical for mankind deciding to replace God’s instructions with his own will; self-worship, the very first form of idolatry.
But that’s just my idea. Others may have differing interpretations.
Yes, he said these things in the account of the last judgment in Matthew’s gospel. Theologically, it is noteworthy that he doesn’t separate the sheep from the goats based on their faith or lack of faith, but rather on their ‘works,’ what they have done or not done for their fellow man.Jesus said:
MATTHEW 25:35-40
35 'For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘TRULY I TELL YOU, WHATEVER YOU DID FOR ONE OF THE LEAST OF THESE BROTHERS AND SISITERS OF MINE, YOU DID FOR ME.’
It would be a lot easier to read your posts if you would cut out the technicolor, big fonts and all caps.are you sure i need to polish up on my theology or maybe you should? are you catholic? do you believe that jesus who was born around 2000 years ago was conceived of the holy spirit, born of the VIRGIN MARY? who is jesus to you?
ur interpretation of the forbidden fruit by EVE is self-worship? even jesus christ who is god did not worship himself but worship his father, the one who sent him(not the fake one who is around 91 year old from asia…:dts::dts: who do you consider your true father? your true parents?
DON’T TREAD ON ME(333)BUT IM ALSO A LOVING PERSON![]()

In a movement that prides itself on not being stuck into any box, this is not just one protester. This is just yet another protester as legitimate and as representative of the movement as any other.Occupy Portland Man Arrested 'On Suspicion of Throwing a Molotov Cocktail’

It was clearly the obvious outcome… Human excrement and flag burning within the first 48 hours … Figure it out.If only people could have seen this coming…
I live in Portland. I have driven past the tent city. The place attracts derelicts. No one with any sense would allow their family anywhere near those people. The city workers wont even clean the public toilets in the area … One of them had a hypodermic needle thrown at him by a heroine addict. In a movement that prides itself on not being stuck into any box, this is not just one protester. This is just yet another protester as legitimate and as representative of the movement as any other.
I agree. Do you know that in addition to your actions, you will also be judged on all your thoughts and contemplations, prayers, meditations, everything that went on in your head. And there’s more!Yes, he said these things in the account of the last judgment in Matthew’s gospel. Theologically, it is noteworthy that he doesn’t separate the sheep from the goats based on their faith or lack of faith, but rather on their ‘works,’ what they have done or not done for their fellow man.
It’s also noteworthy that people are judged individually by their own actions, not their collective actions. He does not separate the sheep from the goats based on whether or not they supported Democratic or Republican politics, whether they were fiscally liberal or conservative. He doesn’t judge one as saved on the basis of having voted for universal health insurance or social security, rather, he judges us based on our own individual actions.
Yes, my brother, I will consider. :hug3:It would be a lot easier to read your posts if you would cut out the technicolor, big fonts and all caps.
