Please remember Peter’s admonition to us: “Do not repay evil with evil or insult with insult. On the contrary, repay evil with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”

You keep repeating the same point as if it will somehow make it relevant. The approval was such that there were no demands to not sign the letter. If it were as heinous as claimed, the bishops would have stopped their organizations from signing it. They didn’t.

Of course, in your mind, this seems to indicate they aren’t moral leaders then (edit:: typo).
I didn’t think you would.

How about this, then? Name ten organizations (with reputable sourcing) run by bishops who allowed diocesan organizations that were not otherwise exempt to go along with the HHS Mandate.

Your list is much longer than mine.

Good research on your part.

I wonder if Jig Saw will refute each one.
It really wasn’t research on his part, but taken directly from the White House website, which is fine.

No, I’m not impressed. Refuting each one would be boring, but there are things that he claims that are self-induced trouble (Syria’s chemical attacks were because they felt like the US was about to back off based on comments made by Trump), some are interesting takes on reality (not sure how you draw the conclusion that we are any closer to our allies when Trump has spent time pushing them away), some are things I’m not sure he can take credit for (the job growth seems in line or maybe even slightly worse than the growth under Obama).

So, I’m sure his supporters will think this is impressive, but it’s not to most Americans.
You have a list of accomplishments so I hope you are satisfied @Jig Saw. You must be shocked there are so many!

ISIS had been expanding before Trump took

office.
No, they were in retreat.
I said politicians in general being obstructionists - both democrat and republican.
Well, I would expect that Democrats would oppose policies they didn’t like as any opposition would (after all, there was only one Republican vote for ACA if I remember correctly). But the Republicans control both Houses of Congress, so the only people that can truly stop Trump are Republicans.
Trump has been very good at handling each crisis that has come along in the busy 10 months he has been in office. He has persevered in the face of mockery and ridicule from the left who have been the biggest crybabies. I am glad he is our president in these times.
I don’t doubt that you are glad, but you have provided no concrete examples of what he has accomplished.
Don’t you remember @Jig Saw that Barack
Hussein Obama was so concerned about
ISIS he mocked them by calling them the JV
team which encouraged them to flourish and become more evil.

Don’t kid yourself. ISIS and the rest of the terrorists are alive and well. But let’s give a little credit to Iraq for stifling some of them. Now THAT is an accomplishment.

ISIS is being booted out of the cities where they had taken control. Granted, they are not defeated, but considering how they were expanding so rapidly and terrorizing people in the cities they won, that is reversing. We now have to be concerned for the fighters who return to their home countries and still
wanting to cause terror.
I am very pleased Iraqi soldiers have been successful in their campaign.

Before long, we’ll see another phase of the struggle. To my understanding, Mosul was liberated by a combination of the Kurdish forces, Iranian-backed militias, Iranians, and regular Iraqi army forces. Possibly I’m wrong, but I believe Raqqa is liberated or in the process of it by Kurdish and Syrian anti-Assad Sunni forces.

Ultimately, it seems like to me that Iran and its allies, Hezbollah, Russia, the Iranian-led militias and the Iraqi army will come into conflict with Sunni and Kurdish forces for control of the Sunni parts of Syria and Iraq.

I don’t think this is over with by a long, long way.

😂

Is that why you think they are opposing Trump?

Let’s see:

John McCain’s home state = won by Trump

Susan Collins home state: Trump won a CD there

Joe Manchin’s home state = Trump win by 40+ points

Things change. Look at the support Obamacare has gotten all of a sudden.

Last time I checked they were working on a bipartisan bill. That’s support enough.

I’m sorry, but what? Catholic organizations signed the letter. I know the one I was working for at the time did; they sent me an email telling me so. Now you want to find a bunch of people that said it was ok. They said it was ok when the letter was signed. It’s really simple.

And they were losing under Obama and they are continuing to lose under Trump. Really, we find them scary? Well, I guess you do, but I never did.

It’s almost like you respond without reading the post. No, not impressed. Re-read the post that I wrote.

That’s because they haven’t sold you into slavery or beheaded you or set you on fire.
They were expanding under Obama. How do you think ISIS captured so many cities in Iraq that many U.S. soldiers lost their lives and limbs to win back before we left Iraq?

They were expanding and then were losing and that losing has continued.

Not sure what US soldiers fighting in an unjust war in Iraq has to do in this.
