OK, Looks Like it is Time to Boycott Amazon

I am boycotting Amazon, although it may make no difference to them, I intend to take a stand. In a previous thread, I suggested contributing to NOM instead or the Church. I know it will take a lot of sacrifice on my part, but I also make it a point not to shop at J.C. Penneys or Target. Although I don’t care for Wal Mart that much, will go there to do some shopping and also patronize our local stores. It may not mean a thing for Amazon earnings, but if enough people took a stand and let them know it might make a difference.

We are fighting a spiritual battle here-----I am praying for the other brick and mortar stores not to fall in the same direction.
Have faith - believing. Every dollar lost is a dollar lost. We must stand up for something. Each one of us can make a difference. A peaceful boycott is a reasonable thing to do. What is NOM?

Peace,
Ed

No, it does not, at least the Supreme Court has not yet ruled that it does. People who are homosexual have the same right to marry someone of the opposite sex as any one else.
This argument was used in the 50’s and 60 to support laws prohibiting interracial marriage. The argument went that people have the right to marry someone of the same skin color therefore there is no discrimination against interracial couples

Since the national Organization of marriage called for a boycott of Starbucks for their contributions to marriage equality in the state of Washington Starbucks stock has increased in value by about 10%

I wonder how NOM’s boycott of Oreo’s is going

Why stop at Oreo cookies…why not ALL subsidiaries of the Nabisco company? Bet that would cut into a boycott resolve once more than Oreo’s were boycotted…as I said earlier…to boycott those companies and their subsidiaries by “the faithful”…there’s going to be a lot of bad hair, shappby dressed, under nourished…or perhaps skinnier…“faithful”…don’t know too many willing to make that kind of “sacrifice” to keep money from the hands of those companies which support same sex marriage and or same sex partner benefits…but it’s a good exercise and “feel good” exercise…isn’t it?🙂

Exactly… If you are gonna boycott one, you might as well boycott them all… but then again If you were to boycott EVERY company supporting same sex marriage, you would probably be homeless, naked, and starving!

Oreos and Starbucks. Nabisco? Target?

Why couldn’t it have been Kmart and US Airways.
And some kind of bad furniture store. I have problems with this.

Only if we’re allowed to wear bikinis to the beaches. 😃
No way. I don’t think you understand how much of a temptation that causes to men. They are very scandalous. Bikini’s show way too much and shouldn’t be worn. Please be mindful of men who are striving to be pure (and women too!). It is a sin of scandal.

I second that!👍
I sure as heck hope you don’t second that. Please remember how much of a temptation those are to men. It is a sin of scandal. There are men who are striving to be pure. It is a sin of scandal to wear such things. I say this for the sake of your soul and for the souls of other men. Men are very visual. Our concupiscence is of the eyes. Please do not advocate such things.

This thread has been dormant for a considerable period. With rare exceptions, reviving threads after a protracted period of inactivity is discouraged because:
  • the issues that spurred them are often no longer “hot” or current topics, explaining why thread activity ceased originally.
  • posters originally involved in the discussion are sometimes no longer active on the forum and, therefore, unavailable to reply to comments added to the thread.
Our experience suggests that, when a topic merits revival, it is best accomplished by initiating a new thread that draws on recent events and can be posted to contemporaneously. This eliminates the baggage of folks being frustrated by asking and not receiving responses to issues raised in early posts (because the new poster didn’t notice that the post he was responding to was made a long time ago).

Posters are very welcome to open a new thread on the subject or any other topic, as well as to actively participate in the myriad active threads in the fora.
