I understood what you were trying to say. I was teasing you (not in a mean way, I hopeYou guys have taken me the wrong way…
You see, I was asking for the catholic answers for my original question because I have only just come to catholicism from methodism and I didn’t want to get confused by taking notes of the wrong answers; such as a jewish answer. Do you understand that?![]()
That’s why it’s always helpful to look up in the right hand corner of a post and take note of the religion of the person posting. They see the OT differently to catholics. That’s why I was complaining to her about posting that without telling me, because I nearly wote it down as catholic doctrine!
…I understood what you were trying to say. I was teasing you (not in a mean way, I hope) for the way you said it, which seemed to me to be potentially offensive to Jewish people.

If the poster doesn’t have anything listed, I just assume they are non-Catholic. It makes life easier.

Except ‘Religion: Jewish’ is rather a giveaway.I see your point-kinda like a Baptist explaining the Book of James to a Catholic and them not knowing they were Baptist
There’s a sense in which I agree with that.I doubt if a modern day Jew would have any more insight into the Old Testament than anyone else who studys Scripture.
