To arms! We must rescue our Catholic bretheran from the Schismatics! :onpatrol:

Hmm…I think most of them went to the Old Catholic Church in the first place to be rescued from you!

The Old Catholic Church that I have visited has a pretty good sized congregation–well over 100–and is growing. If at some point they have a change of heart, I’m sure they’ll know how to find the Roman Catholic Church.

I think these impressions are accurate, although what may appear to be a “bishop with no one under him” may function as a bishop with respect to other Old Catholic parishes in a fairly large geographical region.

Many rent space from other churches or synagogues, or make use of whatever space they can otherwise obtain. Homosexuals and divorced Roman Catholics often feel that the Roman Catholic church is hostile to them, and it’s no secret that many Catholics find the exclusion of women from the priesthood morally objectionable, so it’s certainly no surprise that many of these people seek a different kind of Catholic home.

That they go to great lengths to establish their apostolic succession should also be no surprise, since belief in apostolic succession is a distinctively Catholic concern. I’d say that they go to no greater lengths than Roman Catholics do; the main difference being that apostolic succession is taken for granted in the Roman Catholic Church. Since anyone who might be curious about the Old Catholic Church might reasonably be suspicious about whether its priests are in apostolic succession, it’s to be expected that they would emphasize this point.
The Catholic church is not hostile to homosexuals as an orientation, we do require they remain chaste exactly as heterosexuals must be chaste.

It is only homosexual acts that we are hostile toward, but no more than any other sin.

Do they have valid sacraments like the Polish National Catholic Church or are they a false church?!
I believe only the sacrament of baptism is considered valid;however, the person willing to be received into the CC needs to do a Profession of Faith.
