This was unexpected as I was referring to to Esdras one not being the same Esdras one as claimed at Hippo.
However, I don’t remember where that info can be found and don’t really feel like searching for it.
This sounds to me like the claim is Trent adopted the same list as Hippo, but the Vulgate included books not on that list.
So if the pope approved the Vulgate and Trent approved the Hippo list.
Where does that leave us?
(Altho, if Esdras one in the Trent canon is not the same as Esdras one in the Hippo canon, it is still not the same canon)
