I listened to a programme last night called action 60s. The program had Karl Keating on it speaking with Dave Hunt. I assume the “debate” I listened to was over 20 years old. Karl could you or anyone fill me in on the landscape of anti Catholic protestant authors? I know that Lorraine Boetner and Bart Brewer are no longer with us. I also see that Dave Hunt is now around 80 years old. James R. WHite seems to be the last man standing…and in my opionion he likes to revise church history.

Is it possible that Catholic answers “cut their teeth” dealing with the “old tyme” anti-Catholicism in order to prepare for the current anti-Catholicism that comes from within our own church and Culture? It just seems to me that the our old “opponents” are not there anymore. Is it possible that that “old tyme” antiCatholicism is dying out with people like brewer and boetner? I have a brother who is an evangelical and he is “freindly” to Catholic doctrine.

ANy thoughts?

Don’t forget Jack Chick. He’s still alive and kicking (against the goads, one might say :))

Jack Chick seems to be cemented into anti-Catholicism. His idiocy is showing up in young voices and being accepted as fact.

It seems that Chick lunacy has become institutionalized. Its being passed on through the generations now. So, kids are hearing it from thier parents and its automatically valid.

Slick Chick…doctrine of devils…

Jack chick is a dinosaur. His stuff is absolute lunacy. The way information is spread nowadays and with the acess to information…the younger Generations will find out that CHick is off base way way way off base. I know some people that although are not catholic they used to believe the CHick information and are quite bitter because after doing “serious” study of Christianity they found out that Chick relied on emotions and untruth to malign Catholicism.

. Their thinking was you can’t use lies to present the truth and that is what they think chick does.

Jack Chick material is for people who wear tin foil hats.
