A week ago, my wife, daughter, and I went to visit my sister’s for my older niece’s tenth birthday. Their other daughter’s eight in May. Well, thing is I wasn’t born Catholic but Southern Baptist and my wife was born Jewish. Well, my niece certainly has the Holy Spirit in her and asked if she could go with us to Mass. My sister decided they should all go that Sunday. Well, my niece said that going to their Baptist church makes her feel closer to our Black heritage and it’s fun because of the singing but in Mass, she felt closer to God than she ever had in their regular church and that going to church is about Him not our skin color. My sister said she felt something otherworldly too there. I thought they’d want to go to at least five more Masses but no, they’ve decided to go through RCIA. They just need sponsors.
