On Event Featured in the News: "El Paso Catholic Church Mourns the Loss of a Teen Girl After Carnival Ride Accident."

In a freak accident a sixteen-year old girl was ejected from a ride at a festival at a St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Texas and killed. The people at the parish are stunned and grieving. This event hit the news in stories that however generally do not say that it was at a Catholic church and disclose the reaction of the Catholics in that parish and diocese.

How tragic. I’m happy to the funeral costs will be paid. Hopefully one less burden on the family.

May this girl rest in peace and the God of all comfort be with grieving family and friends.

I read this sad story. and they told the carnival worker the belt would nit fasten and they thought it was for 2 people-not 3. he told them they would be fine.
I am sad this happened at a Catholic church.
praying for the repose of this teen girl.
