Parts of it (and the Syriac Orthodox Patriarch’s vestment,as well as the Malankara Catholicos’ vestment) look similar to the Sephardic Chief Rabbi, however I’m not sure which style is imitating which.

According to this post, it seems that this was the cultural clothing of the leaders of each community. Hence the similarities. If you scroll down on this site, one of the Egyptian Head Rabbi is dressed similar to the Chaldean Catholicos-Patriarch/Assyrian Patriarch:

They resemble each other. However, some details in the design are different. Also, the EOTC clergy seem to borrow their vestments from their COC brothers. I was wondering too about the large and distinctive panagia both evenly wear. For some reason, the Coptic Pope’s ones look like the black version of the liturgical vestments. I haven’t been able to trace them any further than Shenouda III. Could have these been one of his reforms regarding clothing?
