And how is it propose to defeat either one? Russia has a significant nuclear arsenal, as well as a good many land forces that it can project into Ukraine. As to China, well, it has its own nuclear arsenal, and while the West can probably contain China (that was the purpose of the TPP that so many Trump supporters hated so much, after all), but defeat? Not going to happen. China is a rising power.

What is Eastern Ukraine asking for? I thought it was some sort of autonomy in Ukraine as they have a large Russian speaking population? Is Kiev opposed to autonomy for the Eastern section of Ukraine? Does Kiev discriminate against Russians and the Russian speaking population? I saw reported a march in Ukraine by Russian Orthodox Christians holding up a beautiful icon of the Mother of God and yet there were Ukrainians who were throwing eggs and spitting at the people and the icons in the march?

Why are Roman Catholics so hostile to Russian Orthodox Christians? I read a report that there have been 200 new Russian Orthodox Churches built in the Moscow region in the last several years. While in the USA, I read that there are Catholic Churches which are being torn down and in Holland, many are completely empty and not used.

I have no problems with the Russian Orthodox. Russia is very aggressive and is hurting Ukraine. I don’t believe that they have any good intentions.

If you are going to invade Russia, you are going to have problems with the Russian Orthodox church.
Russia is a Russian Orthodox country. How do you propose to defeat Russia except by invading Russia and murdering millions of Russian Orthodox Christians and destroying their beautiful and holy Churches? Russia and the Russian Orthodox Church will fight to save Russia from an invasion from the west. Do you think that the corrupt west can defeat Russian Orthodox Christians in Siberia?

I don’t care what religion they are. Nor do they give a thought about yours. The Russian Orthodox have a big problem. Namely, they’ve aligned themselves with Putin and the Kremlin. They’re risking, if they aren’t already, becoming a government puppet. The world governments are intrinsically corrupt. We don’t have moral superiority and neither do the Russians. If they choose war, they should suffer the consequences. If they desire peace, they should stop in their tracks and respect other countries sovereignty.

You seem more concerned about their religious practices than their blatant contempt for other countries. No. I don’t advocate nuclear weapons. I don’t advocate vandalizing Churches. Destroying their ability to wage war is the primary objective. Freezing money and cutting off their ability to import materials. Essentially, try to crash their economy first. Then, maybe just maybe they will negotiate.

In fact, the rumors about the special spirituality of Putin’s Russia are exaggerated.
Concerning the spiritual side of life in society, I think here is a suitable proverb-“it’s better to lose with a smart than finding with a fool”
I mean that western integration, EU membership, even from spiritual point of view is incomparably more preferable than to be in the embrace of the loving boot of "Russkiy Mir’

You really should ask that question in reverse.
The contemporary salutation is this: Orthodox are received at communion within the catholic church. The reverse is not true. The Russian Orthodox church is very highly restrictive about the Catholic ministering to Catholics within Russia, and, although some progress has been made of late, The Russian church is still extremely hostile to Greek Catholics.
