We had a long running post for those joining the Catholic Church or those considering, but it unfortunately closed after some time of not being updated. Tagging some participants from the previous topic: @OddBird, @TNMan, @HopkinsReb, @MiserereMei (sorry if I missed anyone). Here’s the link:
On the Tiber's shore Non-Catholic Religions
I wanted to provide an update on my journey. My wife, my oldest daughter, and I are continuing in RCIA and it’s going well. I had my first confession during this process (had one during a failed RCIA attempt 8-9 years ago). Confession was incredible. The priest was very gracious and I felt no shame during confession, only relief and freedom. I cannot wait to enter the Church and regularly and fully participate in the sacraments. God is good! I genuinely and greatly hope that everyone else’s journey is going well.It seems we are several here (@MiserereMei, @TNMan, @HopkinsReb ; are there any others I forgot ?) who are about to take a big breath and dive into the Tiber. How about a common thread to share the journey, the experiences, the theological issues, and support each other in prayer ? Until now, if I remember correctly, we all had The Talk with our spouses and are considering what comes next. What do you think ? Would this thread be useful to you ?
