The Constitution was Divinely guided.
Considering that a substantial number of the men who wrote the Constitution were Deists who rejected the entire principle of divine inspiration, we can unequivocally say that the Constitution was NOT divinely guided.

That also ignores the reality that the entire concept of representative government exists outside the framework of Christianity (which is what I think you mean by Divinely inspired), and the Constitution, well, is exclusively designing a government that sought to be not only non-theocratic, but non-monarchical.

Yet NP et all seek to dismantle our Constitution to have it fit into their desire to be a one party rule. Regardless of the FF thoughts re Divine a Inspiration, they were nonetheless guided. How else can you explain their ability to construct ct a document that so fully meets the needs of our Nation now as much as it did then?

You could start by explaining that is has been amended 27 times - many of which fundamentally alter the original documents. And then continue by showing how the legislatures and courts have continually adapted the amended document to fit contemporary needs. And finally, you could argue that the document itself is purposely vague, to allow courts, legislatures, and executives to fill in the blanks in ways that they perceive as the best.

The problem with your most recent explanation here, is that you’ve now set a tremendously low bar for divine inspiration. Now any governing document that lasts a set number of years is divinely inspired? A extremely quick internet search shows that the Constitution of Norway is only 26 years younger than the US Constitution. Is that old enough to qualify for divine inspiration? What about the Constitution of the Netherlands, which is 27 years younger? Where is the cut-off for divine inspiration?

Why the need to turn my comments into a drawn out debate? I think specifically about the electoral, college.Brilliant and very prescient.
What you are refusing to see is this Nation was founded by those fleeing religious oppression. Everyone immigrating here since the birth of the US has come here look g for opportunity freedoms they don’t enjoy in their home countries. We have a process in place to allow legal immigration. We are a sovereign Nation with borders and laws. Socialism communist ,facism all the “isms”goes against what our FF intended for this Nation. We don’t agree big surprise ,we are such a. polarized country .I said my piece so now I’m done.

how we ignore the 36 times in the Torah in which God commanded us to
we ignore a lot in the Torah
and rightly so

according to the ccc 2241, immigrants aren’t supposed to break the rules and the government is allowed to set the rules

open borders aren’t good

a wall can be part of a good policy, so why are certain people against a wall? what do they want in that a wall would stop?

The electoral college had failed in the role as envisioned by the founders.

The process of election affords a moral certainty, that the office of President will never fall to the lot of any man who is not in an eminent degree endowed with the requisite qualifications. Talents for low intrigue, and the little arts of popularity, may alone suffice to elevate a man to the first honors in a single State; but it will require other talents, and a different kind of merit, to establish him in the esteem and confidence of the whole Union, or of so considerable a portion of it as would be necessary to make him a successful candidate for the distinguished office of President of the United States. It will not be too strong to say, that there will be a constant probability of seeing the station filled by characters pre-eminent for ability and virtue.
The founders likewise failed to envision the effects of broadcast media.

Especially when the broadcast media as well as print media is in cahoots with one
political party.

The electoral college has not failed.

The electoral college has not failed.
Read the quote from the federalist 68. “… there will be a constant probability of seeing the station filled by characters pre-eminent for ability and virtue”. Epic Fail.

No, but the winner-takes-all can use some adjustments. Works in Nebraska and Maine.
I utterly reject any call to get rid of the electoral college because I don’t think California and New York should be the primary determinants of an election, but I do think what Nebraska and Maine do have some merit.

It’s worse than that. Virginia may be the state to ratify the ERA, which would legalize abortions making Roe vs Wade irrelevant.
It might be worth it to see feminist’s heads explode when they find out the Constitution now allows no legal distinction between women, and men who identify as women.
