Dear Lyrical,Planten, please reply to my post #213. Thank you.
But you just judged on your priest that he is “ignorant”!!!I dont think its up to you to tell people they are “not a true muslim”! You are no better than the ignorant priest who told me I was not a “true catholic”; let God be the judge of that and not a sinner from CAF! Who are you to cast a stone?
:aok: Indeed a wise comment dzheremi.First thing first, it should be recognized that the casting of a stone, in this context, is used to illustrate a CHRISTIAN principle as given to us by our Savior, which may or may not have a parallel in Islam. I do not know of any comparable event in the Qur’an or the accompanying moral lesson that such an event (if it is there) would teach the Muslim reader. Perhaps one of our Muslim friends can enlighten us with some passages from the Qur’an or authentic Hadith that show a parallel teaching.
Second thing: The casting of the stones was, of course, the traditional punishment for adultery under Mosaic law. What Sam made was a judgment that Islam requires belief in ____, just as we could say that Christianity requires belief in the divinity of Jesus. I do not know or want to suppose the truth of Sam’s assertion. I do know that belief in Hadith (at least in certain authenticated Hadith) is traditional to Islam, as “Quran-Only” Muslims are a minority within the whole. Whether or not they would be considered “real” Muslims is up to the individual’s interpretation of what is necessary to be “real”. That doesn’t, however, mean that Sam777 cast a stone (punished severely) Planten on account of the latter’s disbelief in Hadith. It would be like if I told a Protestant that they do not have the fullness of truth due to their lack of Apostolic succession and tradition. It’s true, so I’ll say it, but that’s where it ends. Only certain Islamic societies is this, shall we say, “difference of opinion” among believers solved with violence or intimidation. That’s wrong, but that’s not what Sam did, as far as I can tell.

Breaking CAF rules!Woah, CHILL OUT NeedsFaith!Planten is a heretic even by Muslim standards, since he practices the Ahmadiyya sect of Islam…mainstream Muslims do not recognize Ahmadiyya as Muslims.
Just out of curiosity, why did the “ignorant” priest tell you you were not a true Catholic?I noticed from one of your other posts that you don’t believe Jesus is God–one of the most fundamental teachings of the Catholic Christian religion. If you don’t accept every point of Catholic doctrine, you aren’t a Catholic! Who are you to say you are!? You sound like a first class moron, NeedsFaith…how old are you anyway? I don’t play football, so I don’t say I’m a football player–and if I did, I wouldn’t say “How DARE you say I’m not a football player just because I don’t play football?” The same principle applies to someone who claims to be Catholic but isn’t really Catholic.
The priest was correct, NeedsFaith; it is you who are the ignoramus. After reading some of your posts, I wish I could reach through the screen and choke you. Ugh!![]()
This thread is informative. Too bad you don’t get that sort of information where you live - in Lalaland. Actually, it is you who have not given any comprehensive answers - only diatribe. The thread was started with bad intentions. I need not start a new thread to counter your arguments. You had no reply to the lack of good words about ladies in bible. So you passed it off with the remarks that every one knows to treat ladies well.
See, if you do not read the underlined link in my post, what’s the point of even continuing this debate? Read about annulments and understand what an annulment means. Then ask appropriate questions.but what about her getting married again ? It will be considered as a sin as Jesus (p) says so.
NeedsFaith, I do not wish to intrude but as your brother in Christ I am also hurt that you are threatening to leave the Church because someone hurt your feelings. Is this how shallow your faith is? You need to remember the two greatest commandment always and sow it in your heart. It will keep growing in there if you just follow the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ. Love your neighbor as yourself, this is what makes me happy after I learned what life is all about, loving all around you and embracing your enemies is just a wonderful thing to do. Do not hold grudge to anyone and pray to those whom you envy that they may be more successful than you. Those who are last may be first and the first may be last.Breaking CAF rules!
Not very christian of you!
Should’nt the WWJD apply here?
Perhaps the attacks I get here will deter me away from the catholic church for good. When you stand before Jesus what will you say to him when he brings this post and what you felt at that time before you? You pushing people away from the church?
May God have **more **mercy on your souls; than you have given me!
As tears roll threw my heart ; I will not post again .
I am deeply hurt and offended.
In Jesus, I been following your posts and kudos to you with your knowledge of the muslim faith. Yes marriage is sacred and lest we forget the beginning of creation of man and woman. As the ribs of man was taken out to form a woman so that they no longer two but one.Muslim woman,
marriage in Islam and Christianity have different concepts. In Islam it is more of a contract that can be easily dissolved, compared to Christianity where marriage is considered a sacred mystery, an union between one man and woman forever. The problem of divorce in Christianity is not caused by Jesus’ words, but by humanity’s sick nature so it is not Jesus’ fault if people do not want to live as He taught, otherwise there would be no divorces but love, sacrifice and humility.
Amy told me in Islam you can divorce your husband simply because you don’t find him attractive anymore…so you divorce him and you can seek someone else…it is your right…the sharia gives you that right…to us, it is adultry…to marry and divorce and marry and divorce is adultry…it’s no better than legalized adultry, just like temporary marriages are adultry to us.
The so-called christians and so -called Catholics have been misbehaving here quite a lot, distressing other non-catholics. Now I see they have started abusing (judging) the fellow christians too.Woah, CHILL OUT NeedsFaith!Planten is a heretic even by Muslim standards, since he practices the Ahmadiyya sect of Islam…mainstream Muslims do not recognize Ahmadiyya as Muslims.

inJesus. That is why you have many more divorces in the christians. The reason is that marriage in your system is stronger union. That is why it breaks so quickly…Muslim woman,

inJesus, Amy told you the right thing. you have no system. church does not allow divorce. People need it. Your religion is un-natural, incompetent. So there is no need to discuss this topic with you when you have no divorce as per your religious books.Amy told me in Islam you can divorce your husband simply because you don’t find him attractive anymore…so you divorce him and you can seek someone else…it is your right…the sharia gives you that right…to us, it is adultry…to marry and divorce and marry and divorce is adultry…it’s no better than legalized adultry, just like temporary marriages are adultry to us.

Unnatural? Tell me, Planten, is monogamy unnatural? If it is not, why do the majority of Muslims practice it?inJesus, Amy told you the right thing. you have no system. church does not allow divorce. It’s not funny at all, actually. The mockery that is apparently made of marriage in Islam is damned depressing. Divorcing your husband/wife because you don’t find them attractive anymore is most definitely adultery, because it’s essentially saying, “I married you because you were pleasing to my flesh, but now I want to have sex with someone else, so I’m leaving”, and in most peoples’ mind (since most people, even Muslims, believe that monogamy is prefered to polygamy/polygyny), committing the the martial act (and I use that term deliberately here) outside of the marriage IS ADULTERY. It’s the very definition of adultery! You people are wandering around trying to solve your problems by your own ideas, quite irreligious acts. You still have wrong notions about a divorced lady getting married again. Youcall it adultry. Very funny.
dzheremi, I am trying to tell you that the rate of divorce is much more in the christian majority counrty. Maximum.
Does anyone know what Planten is trying to say here?
** Monogamy is not un-natural. I did not say monogamy was un-natural. But your refusal of divorce is due to mis-understanding Jesus. It sent you on the un-natuarl path. Divorce was there in the Judaic law. That law from same God. Then not allowing remarraige to a divorced lady is un-natural.Unnatural? Tell me, Planten, is monogamy unnatural? If it is not, why do the majority of Muslims practice it?
It is all made up story that men in Islam marry due to the beauty and lust. I could not understand about your definition of adultry. Muslims do not perform any sex outside marriage. So that cannot be adultry. But what the maximum christians are doing nowadays is clear case of adultry. **There is no need to reply to any baseless accusations. You have accused Islam about baser instincts. Rather Islam teaches Muslims to go for spiritual progress. And ther eis absolutely no spiritual matte rin christianity. No uplift, no hygene.no clean food , intake. remember what goes in must come out. Sonce you eat the flesh of the swine which Jesus did not eat, then youcannot have any spiritual achievment. You people cannot go to any higher level unless you abstain.Islam appeals to man’s baser instincts, and yet you turn around and tell us that we are wrong. Fine. Continue your indulgence under the guise of piety. We know one from the other, Alhamdullilah.
This does not answer the question I gave you. What are you trying to say? All you did was go back to your original argument that I just refuted. Try again…** Lyrikal, please ignore the nonsense of D i L. Here is some reply to your post #213.
You have a point that some true prophets were alo killed. That is the claim of the Quran. But I personally do not know the names of any that the Jews killed, except that I have heard that some one named Zakariyya was killed. Even Jesus mentioned about the blood of all who were killed and in that he mentioned the name of Zakariya.
I am posting below the verses of Quran which tell that if Muhammad had himself made up the Quran and it was not given to him by God then God would have killed him. See Ch. 69 V.44.45…
That really means any one who is not a prophet and he pretends to be one then he is killed.
Same is noted in Deut 18:20. Please see. You can give some explanation of these things perhaps. It is not necessary for me to do so. See the verses of Quran and bible (OT) Now.
The Quran:
69:42] Nor is it the word of a soothsayer; little is it that you heed! [69:43] It is a revelation from the Lord of the worlds. [69:44] And if he had forged and attributed any sayings to US, [69:45] We would, surely, have seized him by the right hand, [69:46] And then, surely, We would have cut his life-vein, [69:47] And not one of you could have held Our punishment off from him. [69:48] And verily, it is a reminder for the righteous,**
The bible OT.
18 I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their brothers; I will put my words in his mouth, and he will tell them everything I command him. 19 If anyone does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name, I myself will call him to account. 20 But a prophet who presumes to speak in my name anything I have not commanded him to say, or a prophet who speaks in the name of other gods, must be put to death."
