Hello Bobkat!
I am just curious as to where you find this in the Bible, you know, a verse that says “It is by your love that you are saved”, or “Your love has set you free” or “Your sins are forgiven because of your love”.
Compare them to: Luke 7:50 and Ephesians 2:8, Mark 5:34, and Matthew 9:2.
Now, I am not saying that love has no part in our saving. But our love does not get us saved!
God loved us, and for that reason saved us (John 3:16). God forgets our sins because he loves us (Isaiah 38:17). For us, love is a correct attitude to have in response for forgiveness (Luke 7:47, Galatians 5:13), but we do not love to be saved, but because we are saved (1 John 4:10)
