I’d go back to when I was born.
I can never make my mind up.Bradskii:
But what about you? How would you play out this thought experiment? If you could travel as far back or as far forward in time as you liked, then which way woukd you go?
I like this approach. Perhaps I’d pick some random date (March 20, 503) as long as I was able to observe a distant relative move throughout history. What trials and tribulations they faced, who they met, etc. It would be a humbling experience. And I’m sure, like you said, we may meet some unsavory characters in our family line. But we will also encounter people with great skill, compassion, perseverance and love along the way.But imagine stepping back each generation and to be able to see where you originally came from
Oh, that would awesome! I could finally solve the mystery about whether my grandfather found the correct birth family when he was in his 20s, or if he came from somewhere else.Gertabelle:

Twist my arm and I’d go back.
I’ve often thought about this as well. I’m of European descent but with unusual Asian features. I figure at one point my ancestors dealt with a Mongol horde invasion. But imagine stepping back each generation and to be able to see where you originally came from.
