I am starting to check back in on my favorite Iraqi bloggers. I haven’t been reading them for quite awhile because it was just too painful. Even the most upbeat and positive Iraqi’s have been dragged down into hopelessness. One of my favorites, Zayed, a dentist in Baghdad, has finally decided to get out. He has been published in the Washington Post (see his article “One Week in Baghdad”) and has been encouraged to become a journalist. You can read about it here, along with some of the **** he sees everyday in baghdad.
I think everyone in Congress should be reading his and other Iraqis’ blogs if they want to understand the havac they have brought to this country. We’ve truly given terrorists a new base to operate from. Meanwhile, Iran just waits as we continue to spend huge dollars in a cause they know we will never win…a democratic Islamic state is truly an oxymoron, as proved by Afghanistan. Check out this article on the plight of women’s rights.
