I would like to request prayers for a little boy with ALD. His name is Massimo, and he is only seven years old.

praying for all of the above… I would ask that you keep my friend Kevin in your prayers. He is waiting to hear from the halfway house to accept him so that he will finally be free after 12 years… Oh Lord, please answer our prayers for Kevins’ freedom and safe passage into his new life in you. In Jesus name…

Jesus please give Your powerful, loving help for all these intentions.
Please also help Diem to overcome this addiction and so find wonderful freedom and new joy in life!

Jesus please give the best help and healing to Massimo, and please make his life fulfilling and happy. Please give support to his family.

Jesus, please give Kevin a new beginning with every opportunity for a fruitful and peaceful life.

Please remember those who either want to leave Islam or have already done so and want to become Christian. Pray especially for those who are in danger for wanting to convert to Christianity or who have already done so but they must practice in secret because they live in a country like Saudi Arabia where they are threatened with death for leaving Islam. I pray that Jesus will give these people the strength to overcome the many challenges and dangers they may face and I ask Jesus that you fill their hearts with peace in the knowledge that you the son of God have the power to forgive all sins and they can receive that forgiveness immediately without having to wait until the day of judgment to find out whether or not their sins have been forgiven
I pray this in the name of Jesus Amen

I need prayer. I have a problem with alcohol. I want to overcome it. I have to. I wouldn’t care except that God does.

So, I am asking you all to please pray that I am able to do what it takes to get to where God is asking me to go.

Thanks for being willing to pray for my requests.
Diem

I am touched most especially by your willingness to humble yourself before God. You have placed your hearts desire alongside the very heart of God’s Son + Our Lord. What better place to start your journey. God be praised! I will pray for you and ask for Mary’s intercession.

The Memorae
Remember, O gracious
Virgin Mary, that never was
it known that anyone who
fled to thy protection, implored thy
help or sought thy intercession was
left unaided.
Inspired by this confidence,
I fly to thee,
O Virgin of Virgins and
my Mother; to thee I
come, before thee I kneel,
sinful and sorrowful;
O Mother of the Word Incarnate,
despise not my petitions, but
in thy mercy, hear and answer me.
Amen.

Lord we ask your grace and protection for those who wish to become Christian or Catholic but who are blocked by others’ opposition
We ask Your graces for all who ask our prayers, and all who need others’ prayer

“I need prayer. I have a problem with alcohol. I want to overcome it. I have to. I wouldn’t care except that God does.”

Substance abuse is a spiritual problem, so you* must *care. The other day, I was talking with a man I work with who is living in a program, and we agreed that the reason AA works is because it addresses the spiritual need for change. Once it happens, you will no longer say, “how can I get me some of that?” but rather, “how could I think of doing that to my body”? THAT is why God cares, and you can take it from me, who lost one brother to alcoholism and iis on the verge of losing another. Two empty shells, they were. At the end, there was nothing left of the man, and the man who died was someone whose life had departed long before he had.

I pray very hard for you as you struggle with this, and wish you godspeed on your journey.

I have two requests to make tonight.

Request the first: for a friend of mine, who has ended her marriage, but the divorce is not quite official yet. She has already met another man, and has fallen into the sin of adultery; besides that, she has had an abortion in the past, and does not regret it. I ask for prayers that she will come to repentance and conversion.

Request the second: for a woman I met a couple of weeks ago at the parish I attend near my house. She is new and has sung once with the choir; she is Muslim, and a possible inquirer about the Catholic faith. I do not know if she will eventually be a potential convert, but I am praying hard that she will be led by the Holy Spirit and discern carefully. Please pray for her as well.

Thank you all in advance, and God bless you. Pax et bonum!

Please pray for me. I will be starting Turkish classes on Wednesday night and I hope it will be the beginning of my work with Turkish community and other immigrants/refugees. My family and I have had some serious trials in the past few months I’m hoping the classes will be a positive thing for me.

Thank you for your care, (name removed by moderator)ut and prayers. I am very sorry for your loss and will offer my suffering regarding my struggle for your brother living with alcoholism and for the soul of your brother who has passed, as well as for members of my family and all who have this as one of their crosses to bear, and for the friends/fam/peops who are effected by it.

I know that substance abuse, as well as any other disorder that is a result of the fall is a spiritual problem, as reality is based in the spiritual realm. Of course that translates to our flesh (physical/mental/emotional).

As I said, if I didn’t know God, I wouldn’t care. But, because I do, I ask for prayers. Without Him, I wouldn’t care.

(if you think your brother would be okay with it, put us in touch, if not my prayers are with him)

Thank you all so very much for your prayers regarding my Aunt Bette. She had to have surgery b/c the 2nd biopsy didnt yield an answer.

She was operated on yesterday and it was determined that the mass in her lung was cancer so they removed the lung so it might not metathisize.

All would be better if she did not already have COPD, but b/c she does she is at a great deficit. The outer sac of her heart had to be repaired as well in the surgery due to the afflicted lung’s leaning on it.

She has healed way beyond expectations already and it has only been 24 hours. I know it has to do with faith and prayers. Thank you all so much. May Keep praying for her.

An urgent prayer request was just phoned to me.

In short, pray for young Steven. He was quite innocently/naively caught up in a situation that could render him in a serious situation with the law.

Pray for his family, too as they must deal with the investigation, and of course, worry for their innocent son, brother, etc.

God Bless you all. I don’t have anyone else to go to.

Praying for this situation.

I’ve looked throught the recent posts and ask God to grant your prayers. God bless each of you, and those you for whom you ask prayers

Please pray for my nephew who is now undergoing drug rehabilitation. He is quite lonely and feeling depressed. Pray that he may not lose hope and that he will have the strength to really change his ways.
praying for him and his family. 🙂

How very kind of you, but my brother is sadly beyond the reach of all but God, now. He is homeless, living in the streets, he lies, steals and doesn’t remember the names of his children nor his fathers’ birthday. He lives for his next drink and, judging from my experience in the field, is in the end stages of alcoholism; where he fails to digest food, has become extremely thin, and barely eats. But I do not see my brother in this person, as I didn’t see the man in the other one who died. They disappeared when alcohol and drugs began to rule them, leaving only a shell.

I work with homeless people and have been a counselor in a rehab program on a cell block in state prison, where both of my brothers had been. I firmly believe that God acknowleges them on behalf of all the work I have done with the thought of them in my heart, and that He has provided me with the wisdom and guidance to go about His work.and help those who are able to listen. That is why I will keep you, them, and all who struggle with this in my prayers and woven into my daily work.

I would like to ask for prayers for my sweet Kevin as he readies himself to exit prison after 12 years. Please ask for good judgement, courage, mercy and patience for him. Thank you so much for taking the time to pray for those who cannot know the power of it, but we pray, will someday learn.

My prayers for all intentions in this thread and in the hearts of our members,
For Mommyof4’s intention
and for Iserve’s brother, his family, and friend Kevin.

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.
Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.
