You believe and study the Bible. What part the OT the NT or all of it and do you do what it says?
Old Testament
Therefore shall ye keep my commandments, and do them: I am the LORD. Leviticus 22:31

New Testament
If ye love me, keep my commandments. John 14:15

Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. Ecclesiastes 12:13

Old Testament

But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people. Jeremiah 31:33

New Testament

This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them; Hebrews 10:16

Not God of the dead but GOD OF THE LIVING Mt 12=26=27 and Lk 20=34=38 those who died are like angels
Bill, I’m on your side :). . .when I said that I wanted to see that scripture I knew darn well that not only would Scripture NOT support TS’s ideas, I was thinking of that Scripture you quote above. . .indeed, the dead who are in Christ are fully alive, more alive than we are on earth.

Truth Seeker, John 10:30 is often used by Jehovah’s Witnesses. Tell the truth, you are a JW?
Wow… Just wow.

That has to be the most flawed argument I have ever seen.

Tantamount to I see you used Psalm 91:11-12. Are you Satan?

Many years ago, one of my family’s oldest and dearest friends was a Witness. A very fine person, too, hard-working, soft-spoken, polite. . .

After my father died when I was young, this friend asked my mother to marry him. She refused (and remains faithful in her widowhood to my father more than 40 years later) but they remained friends until his death some time later. I had a lot of respect for him; he was a gentleman all around.

There are plenty of people on these fora. . .Catholic and non-Catholic alike. . .and by and large, I don’t think we judge each other so much by belief but by character. I’m Catholic, but there are some Catholic posters I’ve seen come (and thankfully go) who may have shared my beliefs but whose character was often rude, spiteful, and unChristian. And there are plenty of Protestant posters, some of them with beliefs extremely divergent from mine, whose character is so courteous, sympathetic, and Christian that they are a pleasure to chat with even when we are in disagreement on belief.

Honesty is a very important part of a person’s character. . .and the perception that a person is not being honest makes it nearly impossible to trust anything about that person, not **just **the ‘one area’ in which he might not be totally honest. . .and if you can’t have that kind of trust, you really can’t have any kind of dialogue. The cards are ‘stacked’ against it.

So is it safe to say that you go by both the OT and the NT and do what exactly is in both and follow the law to the letter, every thing in the Bible you do no exceptions? If you can please answer directly.

Quoting scriptures tells us nothing as there are many interpretations, when people privately interpret scriptures for themselves.

Is this the ‘two way’ discussion you said you were looking for? We ask questions and you post scriptures?

Sorry, my friend. It is a fact that JW’s like to use John 10:30 just like Protestants like to use the “Roman Road”

For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous. 1 John 5:3

There is no honest ‘two way’ discussion from you. Anyone can post scirptures, but with thousands of denominations, and even more interpretations, posting scriptures doesn’t tell your position on anything.

I post what I believe.

So you sacrifice animals for offerings to God?
So you never trimmed off the hair on your temples or clip the edges of you beard? You have long hair and a long beard.
If a man and woman commit adultry you would put them to death?
All this and more are in the Bible and are laws.
I can see you can’t answer questions directly.

And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission. Hebrews 9:22

And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering: But unto Cain and to his offering he had not respect. And Cain was very wroth, and his countenance fell. Genesis 4:4,5

For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins. Hebrews 10:1-4

Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me: In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure. Then said I, Lo, I come in the volume of the book it is written of me, to do thy will, O God. Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and [offering] for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law; Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second. By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all. Hebrews 10:5-10

Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us: 1 Corinthians 5:7

Jesus was represented by the ordinances of the sacrificial system and sanctuary services.

Do you have some sort of problem or are you just being a smart alic. Do you think your being smart by only answering with scripture. If you can’t answer directly then why are you here? I can’t wait to hear your next scripture answer.

I put my direct answer at the bottom.
