AgreedWe do not “develop” physically, we are perfected.
No I do to think or believe this, nor have I stated as such dear friend. In comparison to the Perfect One (God) we are never perfect, even in our spiritual condition. What you seem to think is that to be perfect involves exiting the physical realm.
To imply that we will become perfect in the new Jerusalem will create a creation full of Gods. Is this a polytheistic religion?
Physical to become spiritual is clearly emphasised by Paul:That is a Manichaean idea. The Judeo-Christian teaching has always been that humans are physical and spiritual, not physical to become spiritual.
*"…it is sown a natural body, it is raised a spiritual body." * 1. Cor 15:44
“Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord” 2 Cor 5:6
Again dear friend this seems to contradict Pauls stance, and even contradicts the stance of Jesus’s Ascension into the “clouds” which are terse used to denote a spiritual heaven.God’s perfect image became man in Christ. Human perfection and communion with God does not mean an abandonment of the physical. Our resurrection will be a bodily one. The Creeds assert this.
