One of my friends built a computer himself.
They work in TEAMS. Not alone.
Humans indeed make the chips. Heck, once the machines and special tooling is in place, a chimp could probably make the chips. What I’m asking is who designed the chips and who designed and built the machines and special tooling necessary for manufacturing the computer chips. Again, none of us can even come close to designing and mass producing the packaging that the computer chips come in!
It is a colaborative effort involving contrinutions from many people over time. Often the contributions people make are applied to things they had not thought of. Such as how the study of nuclear resonance was applied to machines that are used to image the inside of ones body. Being a collaboration you wont find many examples of something being designed in intellectual isolation.

You’re saying God made the machines? Or designed the chips? And there’s a conspiracy going on covering this all up?
I think the birth of specialization - especially when combined with cooperating teams of people where each team is given separate and specifics tasks or goals - increases the rate of technological development.
No conspiracy. It’s all in the front of people to see. Yes, all the knowledge related to technology comes from God.

How many of these engineers do you know personally? Look around you and calculate the huge number of engineers necessary for all the specialized machines and designs necessary for this to come about. Look also at the sources of our gross national product and notice the machine building industry is very small. Things just don’t add up. Tool and die and mold making is sparse in America! Those shops that do exist produce rather simple stuff and have a backlog of 5 years! Again, look at the unique plastic stuff around you and know that for each plastic part, a mold must be specially built. And then there is the computer designers that blow my mind when I think of all the wit that must be present for them to be produced.
Don’t know. I don’t keep count. I am a Software Engineer by occupation and education that spent several years working with a medical engineering company. I’m now working some where else but collaborate with people in some of the engineering areas at a local school (Georgia Tech) and some other companies. I’m also still friends with some of the people that I went to school with who are also engineers of various types (computer engineering, mechanical engineering, mechatronic engineering, so on…). Through relationships that I’ve established from my collaborations with Microsoft (not related to my employment, I’ve got other things going on with Microsoft independent of work) I’ve gotten to meet the engineers at a number of other companies inside and outside of the united states.
As I mentioned earlier the contributions to these machines are distributed over many people and over time. In some cases over several generations. My digital camera, for example, include contributions from the works of people long gone such as Alhazen (died about 1,000 years ago) and Hertz and Hallwach. Engineering works tend to incorporate elements of the works that came before them as opposed to starting from scratch.
The USA has almost completely stopped manufacturing various types of items in favour of sourcing parts and labour from elsewhere (example: find a television that was manufactured in the USA). Many of the tools that we use contain parts and materials that shipped from different countries. China seems to be a significant source of materials, parts, and products.
One of the nice thing about working with computer systems is that as you make improvement to your product, you may also be making improvements to your tool set. One can also be a lot more effective by learning to automate their tasks. I know the match can scare some people off too.
If “they” say it then it must be true. Except that it’s an urban myth. If it were true then we could sustain 90% brain injury without even noticing any ill effects.
A cargo cult is the belief that advanced technology is a product of the deities. Usually cargo cults are only associated with primitive peoples, but I guess some people in our society may be just as overwhelmed by technology. A cargo cult would give them reassurance - it’s OK to be overwhelmed, since only God actually comprehends, and any mere mortal who says they understand technology must be lying. And with technology coming from God, science has nothing to do and must be hogwash. Bravo! Logic that’s bomb-proof and feel-good!
We humans have a bicameral brain which is literally two brains, one masculine and the other feminine. There could exists humans with a unicameral brain. Show me any research suggesting that we use 100% of these brains.
It may also be interesting to note that according to Jewish mysticism there exists multiple worlds, with our world being the absolute lowest.
Science is not hogwash. Science is the study of the universe through measurement.
No we don’t have, “one masculine and one feminine”. [Why is there no face-palm emote?] A bicameral brain is one single brain with two hemispheres intimately connected by the Corpus Callosum. Bicameral Doesn’t mean two brains; it means two chambers which is referring to the two hemispheres.
If by this you mean that all knowledge comes, not merely ultimately, but immediately from God then your theology is more faulty than your neurology.
