I wanted the truth, however there is no need to resort to name calling. I just needed someone to tell me that I wasn’t being overly jealous or clingy. I understand some folks can do anything on their own, this time I needed some help I didn’t feel I could go to my friends or family with this and get a true response, I needed an outsiders opinion.

I am not a greedy person, if wanting to have electric and water is greedy, then maybe I am. If not wanting to loose your house, and still be in debt with nothing at all to show for it is greedy then maybe I am.

However, I am not mean, and I am not cruel. And I would never accuse someone of being so greedy that she’d pimp out her husband without knowing the full facts. Sorry, but I don’t think that is what Jesus would do.

Due to serious illness and dh’s company relocating we got into some serious financial difficulties. I would not even consider us living apart if it weren’t dire circumstances. And I am doing everything I can to help us through this, cutting costs.
We have never had a new piece of furniture, I buy everyones clothes on half price day at the thrift store, both cars were within our budget and paid for without going into debt. I have always done all I can to save a portion of check, and I shudder to think what would have happened if I hadn’t. I went into this fully believing that he would be home in a 3 months top. I never expected this to go on this long, and now I am putting a stop to it.

And I truly appriciate the answers I got, it really helped both me and dh to see this situation from an outsiders pov, and get the unvarnished truth.

YAY MOMMAMIA! That is incredibly great news! So glad that he will be coming home soon–!!

Praise be to God!🙂 Thank you for sharing the good news with us. What a relief you must be feeling–and him, too! God will provide, and taking this next step, will be a new adventure…and He will make sure your needs are met. I’m so glad!!!🙂

Mommamia, I’m of the definite opinion that if you seek first the Kingdom of God, everything else will be added to you.

Is there any way you could make up that $400 by having someone stay in YOUR home… maybe a retired lady living on a pension or something?

I would really suggest putting the children in public school. I know it’s not preferable. As a single mom, I’ve had to do that. But perhaps your child will learn a valuable lesson about sacrifice and what it really takes to keep a family together, and how a family is worth everything you own. That kind of lesson can’t be taught as well in a classroom.

Be sure you are deducting your tuition and work costs on your taxes. And keep praying to St. Joseph, as he seems to help you come through with the funds when you most need them. Good luck. And I’m happy that your husband is so willing to work on the same team as you. It’s nice to see a happy ending.
