The state run public school system is a miserable failure. So what else is new. The problem with “No Child Left Behind” is that it did not take into full account that the public school system has far more issues that this policy could plug. Government keeps throwing money at the school systems thinking that will fix the problem. It isn’t money that is needed, it is parent involvement. Until they figure out how to get the parents more involved in the children’s education it will continue to be a failure. It was enacted under Bush and was/is a miserable failure.
