Members of the Protestant Orange Order have descended on London’s Downing Street to oppose the lifting of a ban on those in line to the throne from marrying a Catholic.
The Orangemen took a brief detour from their annual Remembrance Day march to deliver the letter setting out concerns that changes to the Act of Settlement will call into question the future role of the monarch as the Supreme Governor of the Church of England.

I’m pretty sure the new rules stipulate that the monarch must be practicing Anglican. Their spouse could always be a Hindu, a Muslim, an Atheist, anything but a Catholic.

The members of the Orange Order can pout and complain till their faces turn orange, and the sun shall still rise in the morning. They’re powerless, and small.

Pft:rolleyes:

Ah, the Orange Lodge.

They’re SO loyal to the Crown, I’ve often wondered why they don’t simply lock themselves up inside Stormont, and thus relieve the rest of Ulster of having to deal with them.
