I have heard that the geniuses in Oregon have just enacted a law (they may have just proposed it) to say that public sex acts are a form of self expression and therefore are legal (or should be legal).

What seems to have happened is that the OR supreme Court struck down a law prohibiting live sex shows. Like at strip clubs. I guess they think it’s “art.”
That’s bad - but not as bad as allowing sex in public places.
I hope that makes you feel a bit better.

I love Oregon itself, it is beautiful and I have a bunch of catholic friends that I wouldn’t wanna leave, but everyone else…yuck
the government here sucks, and all these people who are taught that abortion is ok, apparently there are textbooks that claim that embryos can be ANYTHING , they only DEVELOP into humans

Ever since the last election, I’ve been wanting to vacation in the so-called “Red States” that voted for Bush. It’s very sad about Oregon being a “Blue State” with the kind of morals described in this thread, because having seen pictures of it on my favorite weather website, it would definitely be a landscape / nature photographer’s dream vacation.

Hey, we’re not all bad here in Oregon! We have a very strong pro-life movement and I have seen great strides towards more conservativism in the 15 years we’ve been here.
We need more great Catholics like all of you to move out here so we can make some changes!
It is a beautiful state – Mt. Hood, the Columbia River Gorge, the coast. Come on out and visit!

Hey! We in Oregon still past measure 36! (Constitutional Amendment banning gay marriage.)
Sure we’ve been battling a pro-choice legislature, but at least we don’t have sales tax and don’t have to pump our own gas!
