For me, after 20 years of celebrating Christmas on January 7 (which is December 25 on the Julian calendar - you see) it is actually very hard go to December 25! Under the old calendar the Nativity fast actually gets more strict on December 25, but now instead of fasting I eat meat. It really is hard to change this!

Today is Old Calender Orthodox Christmas (Jan. 7th) and if I were still on the Old Calender I’d be feasting (eating meat), but since I’m now on the New Calender, and it just happens to be a Wednesday today, I have to fast today! As I said before, It really is hard to change this!
