Orthodox Patriarch Accepts Papal Primacy - In Part Rome, Nov. 28, 2007 (CWNews.com) - Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew I of Constantinople has said that he is prepared to recognize the primacy of the Pope-- although he does not accept the Catholic position on the implications of that primacy.

Pray, pray and pray. :gopray2::signofcross::crossrc:

Unfortunately, nothing new here, although it is good to hear him say it so clearly.

Right!
Nothing new here, Primacy was always accepted.
It’s still the same old clarification that Primacy is not Supremcy and the Head of the Church is only and can be only Christ, and that which guides the Church is The Holy Spirit.

Nothing new, that has always been the issue. And anything different is the problem. The return to “First among equals” is all that is and has been requested.

I often wonder what St. Peter himself would think of this divisive issue which has come about in his name… since he himself never was the cause such an issue… Kyrie Eleison.

He would probably quote Luke 12:51 😃

“Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division”
