I guess we’ll have to wait to see how he was killed.

AP says senior Pakistani intel official confirms Bin Laden has been killed.

And I’m sure we’ll be hearing about that sniper for at least the next 6 months with interviews, book deals, movie deals, presidential/congressional awards, etc…

CNN reporter in Islamabad saying Pakistani intel sources say they were involved and it was a very precise intelligence op.

If you go to the CNN website, you will see a picture of Bin Laden. Right underneath the picture of that happy news is a picture of Bl. John Paul II, with a story about his beatification.

What a juxtaposition! What a great day!
Good will always triumph over evil…

Amen to that!

Why did the Obama Administration wait until the day of the Beautification of Pope John Paul the Great to make the announcement? The Obama Administration did not send a high level representative to the ceremony to represent the United States. He could have very well announced this earlier. Seems too planned for me.

May Divine Mercy be extended to his soul.

Since The U.S. has the body and I believe that Muslim law dictates that it must be buried within a certain time, there might be problems with Muslims on this point. That is unless we give him a lawful burial, which is not likely.

Hopefully this will hamper Al-Qaeda and their actions and support.
👍

A CIA-led operation has killed Osama bin Laden in Pakistan and recovered his body after a tortuous decadelong hunt for the elusive militant leader who commanded the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, U.S. government officials said Sunday night.

CIA Director Leon Panetta called key members of Congress late Sunday to describe the killing of the Al Qaeda leader, and President Obama is expected to make the announcement on national TV.

It’s almost midnight on a Sunday. Does this announcement really seem that calculated?

Obama: tonight I can report the US has conducted an operation that killed Osama Bin Laden.

I think if there had been any way to bring him in alive, it would have been done.

I cannot ask God for mercy on his soul. His God told him to kill anyone who doesn’t believe in Allah, and he was directly responsible for 9/11. It may be a failure on my part, but I hope he gets everything he deserves in the afterlife.

**We are yet called:
to pray for the living and the dead.

(a Spiritual Work of Mercy)**

While it is wonderful that there may be an increased sense of security here in America, I can’t rightfully celebrate his death. Yes, he did some awful things for horrific causes…but it’s still the death of one of God’s beloved. I only hope that he found God before he passed.

My the Lord show him his Divine Mercy on this, of all days. It’s always sad when a beloved of God has died.

I would imagine that the fighting took place inside the facility. I’m willing to bet it was the Dreaded D, which means it will never be officially stated who carried out the op.
