By your logic, then, every single program in the curriculum should be a matter of choice; that is, I should be able to opt my kids out of math if I don’t want them learning math. Obviously that is fundamentally illogical, and naturally not permitted, as Math is a fundamental part of education and instruction. A school cannot issue my child a diploma knowing they received no instruction in mathematics.
The fact Sex Ed is purely “optional” is proof that it is not “necessary.” If it’s not necessary for the child’s education it shouldn’t be part of the child’s education, especially because taxpayers are forced to provide it at their own expense.
These Ontario classes are 90% indoctrination, not instruction: I know, I went through them. The other 10% belongs in biology classes, not “Sex Ed.”
