Our Lady of San Juan de los Lagos?

I’ve recently read about Our Lady under this title, but for some reason i cant find any litanies, novenas, or chaplets in prayer to her under this title, i know this devotion is only held in Mexico and the United States but still :hmmm: you think there would be some prayers, do y’all know of any? i may just end up writing one but idk if i could lol God bless y’all Edit: btw heres a picture of the statue:

I love Our lady of San Juan / Our Lady of Saint John of the Lake. We have one here in Houston, my mom goes to that church. I am trying to get a new novena book in english, this one I have is getting tadder I got it in the 1980’s. I tried looking for it on line at the Shrine of Our Lady of San Juan in San Juan Texas, but than I got busy. I went to the shrine years ago in San Juan, Texas it is amazing.

Prayer to Our Lady of San Juan de Los Lagos

We pray that you,most Holy and Immaculate Virgin of San Juan guide us throughout our life. Please make us mindful of the needs of others and also help them through our prayers.

Give us spiritual strength so that we are close to your Son, Jesus, and through him may have Love and compassion for others.

Grant us peace and happiness.

Clarification on some things:
  1. The Shrine of La Virgen de San Juan de los Lagos is in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. This is (in some ways) the mother shrine of the Basilica of the National Shrine of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle. (I also suspect that the Nuestra Senora de Zapopan Shrine in Guadalajara statue is also related to Lagos because she looks like the Lagos statue).
  2. The National Shrine of the Basilica Our Lady of San Juan del Valle is in San Juan, Texas. The statue is a replica of the Lagos statue. There are many stories attesting the miraculous powers of Our Lady of San Juan. Two in particular: (1) when she was being transported from Mexico to Texas, the OMI priests got caught in a rock slide and although their car was destroyed, the statue and the priests were unharmed; (2) when the original shrine was destroyed in a horrible fire caused by a suicide pilot crashing his plane into church, neither people nor the statue were harmed. Our Lady of San Juan del Valle Shrine is probably an example of where the daughter shrine has surpassed the mother shrine in pilgrims.
Some points:
  1. It is St. John of the Lakes, not of the Lake. The word is plural.
  2. The Shrine in Texas should not be anglicized. The city that forms part of the name is San Juan, Texas. It pre-dates the establishment of the Shrine by nearly half a century. So the title of Our Lady is literally named Our Lady of San Juan del Valle/ Nuestra Senora del San Juan del Valle. I guess that you could maybe refer to it as Our Lady of San Juan of the Valley but that would be inconsistent with its name.)
The Diocese of Brownsville is always improving and developing the Basilica of the Natonal of the National Shrine of Our Lady of San Juan del Valle and its grounds. A beautiful mosaic faces northward to the Expressway. The Way of the Cross is a point of pilgrimage in itself. The bookstore is one of the most extensive Catholic bookstores I have ever seen.

It’s an amazing place.

we just call it the Basilica
while our cathedral church is Immaculate Conception in Brownsville which is very old and small, the Basilica actually serves as such for Rite of Election and other such events because it is much larger and centrally located in the Valley. She is much beloved here and this is the premier pilgrimage site in Texas S. of San Antonio. There are two pastoral centers for administrative work of the Diocese, one in Brownsville, one on the Basilica grounds. There is also the parish of the town of San Juan, St. John, nearby which is not part of the Basilica complex. (the Basilica itself is not a parish church). The diocese recently acquired a public school building adjacent to the property and it has become the nucleus of the San Juan Diego Ministry Institute, the education arm of the Diocese for diaconate formation, lay ministry training etc, and the library of the former seminary has been moved here, so will be the basis for a new researc library.

The original shrine with the original image is in Jalisco, but there are other churches throughout Mexico named for her, with replicas of the image. She is credited with miraculous healings, or milagros, which are attested in the milagro room where people have left crutches and other remembrances of their healings in thanksgiving. The devotion seems to come closest to Our Lady of Good Counsel and similar devotions in that prayers to her for healing and protection are most prominent.

I went to San Pedro’s installation when he was here in Houston. + Bishop San Pedro was our Aux. Bishop we were all amazed because he did his speech in vietnamese as well

Bishop San Pedro died too soon. He would have been a great bishop. When he took office, he promised an expansion of our Catholic school system down here. He got sick before he got the ball rolling.
 
INTRODuctory Pray for each day

Virgin de San Juan, our faithful love for you has brought us together as a family so that we may give thanks to you for being our Mother, our model,our lifelong Proctector.
You are our Mother you have always been close to us and close to the difficulties we experience in life. We have experience your presence and feel very close to you.

2.For those in the world who have positions of government that they be willing to offer their positions and talents primarily for the common goods of citizens …
3. for those who suffer from need of one kind or another,that they find a generous hand that will help with love…
4. For ourselves, that we maybe able to express our love to God in our service towards our brothers and sisters…
5. That we, like Mary,always have the time and generousity to be present with those in their time of need…

Bishop Flores is going to be one of the great ones, I predict.

I have a great Bishop Fitzpatrick story. He had been up to San Antonio with some other priests for a conference, and they were driving back down to the Valley. They decided to stop at a popular halfway point for coffee. As the pulled in they debated the pronunciation of the name of the town. Is it Fall-fer-EYE-as, Fal-fuh-RYE-is, FALL-fur-ee-az. Inside the restaurant Bishop asked the clerk “how do you pronounce the name of this place?”
She answered slowly and distinctly
Dare-eee Queen.

His point: you won’t get the right answer if you don’t ask the right question.

From what I have read about Bishop Daniel Flores, he is everywhere. When Aux Bishop Cantu (San Antonio) was here in houston before he was elavate he was everywhere he taught in the seminary had pastor duties taught at U of St. Thomas. Seems they are everywhere
 
FOURTH DAY
Together with Mary let us pray to God our father who invites us to walk as pilgrims toward our encounter with Him in Heaven.
l.For the church, that as a community of pilgrims, it will always be faithful in its pilgrimage towards the Lord. Let us pray to the Lord.
2.For all those who govern countries,cities and towns, that they maintain a clear vision of the enternal while working for the common good of people…
3.For those in pilgrimage to the Shrine of the Virgen de San Juan, that they feel the welcoming arms of Mary, the Mother of pilgrims…
4.For those of us gathered here, that we always set our hearts on the Second Coming of Jesus and that our way of life reflect our spirit to all…
5. Let us praythat we,like Mary, overcome in a spirit of faith and hope the difficulites that we encounter during our earthly pilgrimage…
