The fact that Russia or atheism has spread through the world may have been the reason why the Holy Father had to consecrate the world and not Russia alone by name , for we have been told how it has been accepted ( the Mercy of our Lord - when in faithful obediance to Him, makes the burden light , that The Pope thus brought good and peace out of a situation that could have been more divisive ) !
Fatima had bee instrumental in conversion of some personally known good people , who had fallen into the heresies of moderism , to revert back into The Church ; hence out of gratitude on my part , like to share some of my own insights on the difficult parts of the message ; apologies if these may not be exactly in conformity to the opinion of the experts who have studied and acted on these messages (esp. Pope John Paul11) .
Just as scripture too grows in the depth and richness of its meaning , in accordance with our faith and love , the message of Fatima too is better understood , may be not all at once !
While call for personal conversion is the most important dimension for each of us, Fatima seems to help us to see the wider impact of this personal conversion, in the role of nations and Church(es) !
Fatima as well as Lourdes tell us how even ’ little people 'can be used by God , to bring out much good !
The call for unity in The Church and thus for the world to turn back into faith and all the goodness that comes with it may have been the underlyting theme !
Instead , when that call was rejected, the world also saw what was to follow !
It is admirable that from what I have read , when the consecration eventually took place, some of the Orthodox Bishops also joined in !
And the world has witnessed the miracle of the fall of communism !
The angel at Fatima had called out for ’ Penanace , penance , penance ’ !
Having been through the lenten season and given the grace and joy of victory over our excesses , through such measures as fasting , we are familiar with penance !
The call for penance might hold a deeper message for the Eastern Cath. Church , esp. in relation to the devotions that were being asked for by our Bl.Mother - specifically Rosary and Eucharsitic Adoration !
While the push to stay away from what is considered of the West is there, these Churches can also have the noble role of being peace (? penance ) beareres … the ones to have the ten talents - of traditions of both East and West ; unlikely that such measure, taken in the attitude of penace, for the many who are not able to love and adore God - under the grip of atheism and such , would be detrimental to these Churches being able to keep their own traditions ; instead , it may be so very pleasing to The Father , that He can open the flood gates of blessings and Mercy !
The Divine Mercy Devotion too possibly comes in this category .
While the words of the Fatima message about the just anger of God not being appeased , it is good to think of the many centuries that have gone by when the call for unity has been neglected , and this all the while with devotion to Bl.Mother and Holy Liturgies that profess intent to be fully faithful to The Father’s Will have been there !
Even in our own personal lives, we have been warned of the consequences of recieving The Eucharist, whe we are not truly faithful to our Lord, as revealed through His Church !
As to the blessings to come from the first five Sat. devotions, it can be seen as the Bl.Mother assuring the faithful that if one has reached that level of love and fidelity to our Lord and His Church and her messages , such a person is on the right path of working out the salvation in fear and trembling !
That the penaces and sufferings of the faith life then become sources for one to experience , in union with our Lord , to understand what He has done , for love of us …the way to fill up what is lacking - for unless made into experiences of our own personal lives , it becomes only an intellectual idea and not on eof the heart !
And those littel visionaries showed us how eact little act of penance / sacrifice can be a fruitful prayer - ’ Dear Lord Jesus, this is for love of Thee, for reparation for sins and for conversion of sinners ’ !

** Communism has NOT fallen. Those at risk are the unborn, the elderly, the handicapped, and those who practice the traditional Catholic Faith, uphold God’s laws, and remain loyal to their country. In short, all those who won’t give their first loyalty to the New World Order, which is just another name for “Russia’s errors” that Our Lady of Fatima warned us about.
Russia has the highest abortion rate in the entire world, they have pratically eliminated the Catholic Religion in that country, I can go on and on. Russia is definately spreading it’s errors throughout the entire world.

True, there is still Communism in China, North Korea and other places, but I was thinking of Russia, which was on the path of democracy until rather recently. While I don’t think that the USSR style government will rise again in quite the same manner, it is evident that they may be on the path to one party rule - maybe. The “errors of Russia” did not come from Russia, they came from industrialized Europe. These are the errors of Modernism, and there the errors continue without taking in the form of Soviet style government. I realize that there is much to pray for, and I do. Not only was Catholicism suppressed, but so was Orthodoxy, we should pray for them too. :byzsoc:

Realised that in the hurried earlier post above , had forgotten to mention one form of penance , if that is the right phrase in this context - and that would be , if the believing Catholics choose to have one more child in place of the many , who do not get to be born !

**Thanks, I’m happy that you agree. The errors at this present day are now coming from Russia though, not Europe. Our Lady stated that Russia will continue to spread her errors throughout the entire world until the Pope along with the Bishops, Priests, etc… actually say the word “Russia” in the consecration. Until then there will be no peace. This goes to show that the one true faith is the Catholic religion. We should be honored that God has chosen our Faith (Roman Catholic Church) as the instrument to destroy these errors that are spreading rapidly. **

**No, the consecration has not been accepted by God. The Pope must say the word “Russia” in order for the consecration to be accepted. If the consecretion was accepted by God there would be no wars going on, homo-sexuality, alcholism, etc. etc. Russia is continuing to spread it’s errors throughout the entire world. I never said the consecration must take place in the country Russia. The consecration can take place anywhere (hopefully in Rome) as long as the Pope mentions “Russia” in the consecration to the Virgin Mary’s Immaculate Heart" Jesus and the Virgin Mary were very specific in asking for this request. **

On June 13, 1929, Blessed Mother said that God asked the Holy Father in union with all the Bishops of the world to make the Consecration of Russia to her Immaculate Heart. The Consecration did not take place until March 25, 1984.
Fifty Five years past before the Collegial Consecration that God asked for was accomplished.

Because this Consecration is a call for unity of all Christians - The Mystical Body of Christ - whose head is the Pope, the one, true representative of Christ on earth to whom the Lord confided the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and on this union depends the faith in the world and the charity which is the bond that must unite all of us in Christ, as that which He wants, and as He asked the Father: “As You, O Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You have sent Me. . . I in them, and You in Me; that they be made perfect in one, and the world may know that You have sent Me and have loved them as You have loved Me” (John 17:21-23).

On 25th of April 1987 Sister Lucia Remains Silent Due to Respect for the Holy Father.
In the month of June, 1989, Maria do Fetal testified that Sister Lucia remained still firm and unshakable in her conviction that the consecration of Russia was not done despite all the hopes and desires of the Pope. The niece of the seer affirmed, in effect, one more time, to Father Caillon, who was visiting her in Fatima: “The consecration of Russia has not been done”.

In 1987, to celebrate her 80th birthday Sister Lucia received all her family in the parlor of her convent in Coimbra. Not on the 22nd of March which fell in the middle of Lent but on the Saturday of Easter, the 25th of April.
Among the numerous persons who were there, many raised questions but Sister Lucia tried to not respond. It came the turn of a certain cousin who lives at Fatima. She is married, the mother of a family and who above all knows very well what one must ask and in what terms it must be said. At that point Sister Lucia neither replied yes or no. According to the testimony of her family members, Sister Lucia remained silent "out of respect for the Pope". The author of The Wanderer article in a phone interview on November 6, 1989, has confirmed that Father Fox did NOT meet Sister Lucia. This is contrary to what she wrote in the November 2, 1989, article.
Nellie de Los Reyes, The Wanderer article author told Nick Landholt by phone that Father Robert Fox did not speak to Sister Lucia because she stated that you need permission of the Pope to speak to Sister Lucia. Father Fox, she confirmed, only spoke to the Mother Superior of Sister Lucia.
Nellie's phone number 612-458-0165 was listed in a Wanderer ad of November 2, 1989, as one of two persons to contact in St. Paul for more information about Father Fox's speech on November 5, 1989, at 6:30 p.m.

How does Father Fox propose to tell the bishops of the Ukraine who must offer Holy Mass and hear Confessions in the forests and who are being arrested for this that there is no Religious persecution?
How does Father Fox propose to tell the relatives of the unarmed little girl and her friends in China who were crushed mercilessly to death by the tanks — that the Communists are converted — that there is Peace and Freedom all over the world?
