Good, then you will vote for Romney in the general election over Obama. (whew!)

Momentarily accepting your fantasy premise, I would support Ron Paul in a heartbeat over Obama. Might even volunteer - he’d need it. But it would likely be in vain as Obama would probably win in a landslide over Ron Paul.

Ishii
There you go again, assuming that Romney even going to be in the general election.
Well, you are free to fantasize all you want. I genuinely do not care.

Forgive me, I simply do not find your pledge “to support” Dr. Paul genuine at all.
You acknowledge that there is little DOCUMENTED difference between Romney and Obama. While Dr. Paul has clear differences from the Republicrat war machine. So you see why I have a reasonable doubt?

Dr. Paul will not need your support pardner, he has plenty of boots on the ground already - get my drift?
👍

LOL,

Beat me to it.

Guess my thread on this topic will be deleted shortly, so I’ll copy paste my comments here. Even though it is an interesting stand alone topic.
And some here insist that Romney has already won.
They are free to believe their fox-induced fantasy.
Though I would advise that they take a break from the mass media, and actually participate. If they choose to do so they are in for a refreshing awakening.

Some also insist that Santorum supporters will fall in line with the fox news fantasy.
They are wrong.

Guess what, out in the real world, where people actually meet each other at the conventions and talk, and exchange their own ideas…
It turns out your average Santorum supporter is a lot smarter than fox news gives them credit for.
What’s with the “fox news fantasy?” Are you claiming that CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS and NBC are not treating Romney as the presumptive winner? Of course they are. The realm of “fantasy world” belongs to Ron Paul and Rick Santorum supporters who still think their guy has a chance.

TV is the land of fantasy. There are no real names to be verified for those “polls” that the media uses to guide the their sheep. Dr. Paul supporters are the ones who show up, they are the ones who actually exist in the real world. There are real names of people being elected as delegates.

FACT = THERE IS NO NOMINEE YET
FANTASY = THERE IS A NOMINEE, AND IT IS WHO THE MEDIA SAYS IT IS

Does everyone now understand the difference between fact and fantasy?
🙂

The alphabet soup is all the same, fox just happens to be the most insidious.
Of course the globalist media prefers Romney, he is politically no different from Obama, except that Obama is designated to win by the media bosses, including Rupert.

Why not go to an event in your state? Why hide behind the media?
For the love of God, talk to real people!

You will find out that a majority of Santorum supporters are receiving a refreshing awakening. Santorum has relinquished control of “his” base - and they are flocking to the cause of LIFE, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

For “facts,” please click on the link I provided to RealClearPolitics. It shows the delegate counts and the states left in the primary process. If you don’t have difficulty with basic math and are aware of the relative popularity of the remaining states, it will become evident to you that neither Ron Paul nor Rick Santorum have a chance to win the nomination.

I never stated that anyone states that Romney is the nominee…he is the presumptive nominee. Those who presume it have done the math and don’t live I the fantasyland you do. I haven’t hid behind any media sources.

Forgive me, I simply do not find your pledge “to support” Dr. Paul genuine at all.
Meaning you think I’m lying when I say that I would vote for Paul over Obama? I generally try to give people the benefit of the doubt and take them at their word on these forums. What have I said that makes you think I’m a liar? Or do you assume all Romney supporters are liars? I would hope you are not calling me a liar - if I’m wrong, let me know.
Dr. Paul will not need your support pardner, he has plenty of boots on the ground already - get my drift?
👍
You come across as bitter and angry. I am sorry that your guy is an also-ran. You’re right, Paul won’t need my support because it will be Romney who will be the nominee, not Paul.

Sad, isn’t it? I would also vote for Ron Paul, if he were to be the nominee. It’s not going to happen, but I’ve felt that way and stated it even prior to Iowa and New Hampshire. When it is obvious that your guy doesn’t have a mathematical chance, it’s time to start looking at reality.

You absolutely sure of the count presented in RCP?
'Cause the recent articles posted earlier in this thread prove their stats on Colorado to be bogus. They even admit that they are only guessing in many cases.

Real Clear Politics is owned by Forbes Media Company.
It is obvious that you are hiding behind corporate media.

But you know what?
Thats fine with me.
Stick to your news channels, no problem here.

I have conventions to go to.
😃

Yes, Ron Paul supporters are a unique bunch, but I never thought they’d question my honesty and then say - “we don’t need your support”. Oh well, this will be settled in a few short weeks when Romney clinches the nomination officially. Then the Paul supporters will have to face the decision of whether to vote for a 3rd party or vote for Romney. The poster vanguard implied that he would vote for Romney if it was between Romney and Obama, but then claims Romney and Obama are the same. Strange.

Given your track record of posts, it is not hard to figure out what you are politically all about. You agree with unlimited war, loss of freedom, and the 40+ year charade that if only the Supreme Court was stacked just right, they will miraculously outlaw abortion…

You have been very consistent in your rabidly anti-Paul stance throughout this forum for quite some time. You have acknowledged that in terms of documented facts, there is virtually no difference between Obama & Romney.

It is very hard to believe that you (or the current persona you are playing) would suddenly support a genuine Pro-Life, anti-war, constitutionalist like Dr. Paul.

If you are so pro-Romney, Obama is much closer to your principles than Dr. Paul.
You have admitted as much.

Thats just the way it is.

Wow, you find the concept of “honor” to be “strange”?

Maybe you should cool off a bit, you seem to be getting edgy again.

There might possibly be some other topic that we could agree on… you do post about other things right?

So, you believe the “RNC official delegate count” on the page I linked is a “guess?” What numbers do you rely on? What “news channels” am I sticking to, since you seem to think you know me? What media do you rely on?

"Libertarianism is turning a political blind eye to all social and moral issues. Its only “improvement” over progressivism/liberalism is that it doesn’t subsidize vice. "

I think we need to address human behavior. Now that the media dictates the “correct” values and behaviors more than churches as if life is a hollywood script, the cessation of subsidized vice might be all we have to keep us from descending into eventual totalitarian socialism. I don’t really want to vote for Ron Paul, but it might be the only smart strategic choice. Someone, please convince me otherwise. I’m listening.

I’m Catholic and Republican. I support Mitt Romney 100%. Santorum was a great candidate, but our only current option is Obama or Romney. The decision is easy for me.

Did you misspell your username? Usually it is spelt Vanguardian not the way you spell it. I bring it up as if you can make a mistake about that, what else are you mistaken about. Ron Paul will never win the Republican nomination.

Maybe he just mistyped it.

Dr. Ron Paul

Unless we are in some sort of weird time warp/twilight zone… the convention has not happened and there is no nominee yet. A majority of delegates have not even been pledged yet!

The nominee is decided at the convention, not by Rupert Murdoch.

Furthermore,
From a Catholic POV, Dr. Paul represents us the best!
Why is he left out of this Poll?
Because he doesn’t have a shot at being the candidate (well I guess a shot, but it’s very unlikely).

I see you base your comments on a firm understanding of political reality and the moral necessity of defeating Obama. It is an easy decision for me too.
