:ehh: Levels of Heaven? Sounds like the mormons except, I think their heaven only has 3 levels with only the “good” tithing mormons on the top level.

Al-Fatiha was revealed in Makka to our beloved Prophet(saw).

Al-Fatiha is known as the “Opening Chapter”, since it inagurates the Book. It has several other names, including Al-Khittab (the Mother of the Book), al-Asas (The Foundation), and also al-Mathani (The Seven Odt-repeated verses).

Our Prophet, may peace be upon him, taught that "The Salat (Prayer) of anyone who does not recite al-Fatiha is not valid, and for this reason it is recited in each cycle(ra’ka) of every prayer. If the Fatiha is recited for the sick, they derive benefit from it. Additionally, Surah(chapter) Fatiha is the most important Muslim supplication and prayer, used in every occasion of life.

The guiding principles of the Qur’an, which was revealed to help mankind along the Straight Path, are summed up in this Surah.

You don’t listen too well uh? This is the Qur’an section. Go to the hadith section and wait for that hadith for me to explain.
no apparently YOU dont listen to well. Go to a Islamic forum and post there, boss people around there. Leave the Catholic forums alone and its posters alone unless you are willing to answer the questions posed to you.

Why should I open another thread?
You are the one stating that heaven has 7 levels - on this thread.
Prove what you say from the Bible.
Do Not use the Qur’an.
Catholics do not recognise that book as inspired, true or other.

Bob, I bet you could find at least 72 virginians - in Virginia! (Sorry, I just couldn’t resist! :rotfl: )

How are you Mr. Rude Mouth?

I like the gray and I would change it but I’m looking out for you, you said it’s non-sense. Therefore you do not need to clearly see it, only a fool would think that something non-sense is worth reading.

I’m sticking with the gray.
:rotfl: thank you for the laugh and your two sense worth:rotfl:

AFAIK, the Bible does not directly mention the 7 heaven or 7 levels of heaven, but I think it comes in apocryphal literature. There is a verse in Corithians however about the third heaven.

Could you really please change your font colour to black --it is very difficult to read. (Not that I visit this subforum a lot though 🙂 )

Are you Sufi or is that just a name?

This may be true, but don’t you want to be at the top where the inheritants of the top level get’s to see God himself?
So there is a Heaven without God ???

That would be like coming home to an empty house

No thanks !!

I will stick to the true church and be welcomed home by my Father one day

This heaven could be Hell. For you may be able to see Heaven from the top layer of hell, but perhaps not from the deeper layers. I’ve heard more about layers in hell that heaven.

Even though you think we worship the same God, we do not YAHWEH is the one true God in arabic ilah means god. There is a difference between al ilah and Allah, one is common noun and other is proper noun and the name of the god. Originally Allah was the name a pagan diety of Quresh tribe which had three daughters, Allat, Uzza and Manat. After islam Mohammed named the islamic diety as Allah. The Trinity is God and who ever denies the divinity of christ denies the only real God.

Joh 10:28 And I give to them eternal life, and they shall never ever perish, and not anyone shall pluck them out of My hand.
Joh 10:29 My Father who gave them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to pluck them out of My Father’s hand.
Joh 10:30 I and the Father are one!

Joh 8:58 Jesus said to them, Truly, truly, I say to you, Before Abraham came into being, I AM!

Joh 14:8 Philip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father, and it is enough for us.
Joh 14:9 Jesus said to him, Have I been with you such a long time and yet you have not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father. And how do you say, Show us the Father?

You don’t speak Arabic, do you? 🙂 Christians use ilah and allah as well. Allah is used, for example, in our litanies when we address the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Well then they they are wrong to call God Allah, and do you speak arabic ?

Many believe the word “Allah” was derived from the mid- eastern word “el” which in Ugaritic, Caananite and Hebrew can mean a true or false God. This is not the case, “The source of this (Allah) goes back to pre-Muslim times. Allah is not a common name meaning “God” (or a “god”), and the Muslim must use another word or form if he wishes to indicate any other than his own peculiar deity.” (Encyclopedia of Religion and Ethics (ed. Hastings), I:326.)

According to the Encyclopedia of Religion, Allah corresponded to the Babylonian god Baal, and Arabs knew of him long before Mohammed worshipped him as the supreme God. Before Islam the Arabs recognized many gods and goddesses, each tribe had their own deity. There were also nature deities. Allah was the god of the local Quarish tribe, which was Mohammed’s tribe before he invented Islam to lead his people out of their polytheism. Allah was then known as the Moon God, who had 3 daughters who were viewed as intercessors for the people into Allah. Their names were Al-at, Al-uzza, and Al-Manat, which were three goddesses; the first two daughters of Allah had names which were feminine forms of Allah. Hubal was the chief God of the Kaaba among the other 360 deities. Hubal was the chief God of the Kaaba among the other 360 deities. Hubal was a statue likeness of a man whose body was made of red precious stones whose arms were made of gold. (Reference Islam George Braswell Jr.)

Well then they they are wrong to call God Allah, and do you speak arabic ?
I live in the Middle East and yes, I do speak Arabic. Not as well as many Arabic speakers, because like English it is not my mother tongue, but enough to understand and get through normal conversation.

I speak having read the texts of the Catholic Church translated into Arabic as well as those some of the Coptic Orthodox Church, and a few of the Syriac Orthodox texts as well. (If they are really wrong to use ‘allah’ you should inform all of them :))

Where is charbel (chart9891)? He is a native Arabic speaker (and a Maronite)so you can confirm what I said with him if you want. Any other Arabic Christians lurking around?

I know one thing if I get to go to heaven I will just want my fammily and close friends there. would you wanna be in heaven if your fammily was in purgatory or hell? I know if my very hard working non christian father ended up in purgatory I would want to take his place.
when we get to heaven our relationship with the Father willl be resotered, and those earthly relationships will not compare…so it is really irrelevant to my happines ONCE i am in heaven…till i get there, i toil to be a Christ-Like example so lead them there…that is leading through SERVING…not by the threat of the sword, as mr. mohammad thinks we should… my muslim brothers*, this is where you can step in and correct me if you want ] 🙂 …*

The Basmala

The Basmala compromises the words “In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful”. According to the Hanafi School of thought, this formula is to be recited silently in prayers, because it does not form part of the Fatiha or other Surahs, with the exception of a verse occuring in Surah al-Naml. According to the Shafi’i school of thought, however, the Basmala is part of the Surahs, and hence should be recited aloud.

According to a hadith, everything which does not begin with a Basmala falls short of the blessings of Allah. All Muslims believe in beggining everything with it, so that the Lord’s blessings may be bestowed on them. According to Surah al-Nahl, verse 98, it is also neccessary to recite the Isti’adha, a formula by which one seeks Allah’s protection, before starting to recite the Basmala and the Holy QUR’an.
