Folks have been posting pix of New Orleans, Katrina, Rita on other forums. I thought our News forum could do with some pix of our troops. My troops are Canadian. I am hoping gilliam, stickman, Vern, and others will post American pix. I know there are British and Australian posters out there. It would be interesting to see troop pix from different countries. I must add that our Joint Task Force troops (special forces) are serving under American command in Afghanistan so am not sure I can get pix of them.

Shouldn’t this thread be moved to the ‘culture of death’ forum?

The Canadian war ship is part of Operation Altair, Canada’s maritime contibution to the U.S.-led coalition campaign against terrorism mission known as Operation Enduring Freedom.
HMCS Winnipeg, with her crew of 240, is deployed for a period of six months to the Persian Gulf (Arabian Gulf) region and is operating with the 5th Fleet of the United States Navy.

Yes, these are the infamous SeaKing helicopters which stall mid-air. Every six months I write to the Minister of Defence – who is my mp – and I respectfully ask him if he could please ensure that our troops are given safe equipment.

I think the point has been made by both sides on the war in Iraq.

Thread closed before it gets out of hand.
