Not being a mind reader, I have no way of knowing what your grave concerns are about this.I’ve been reading this site over the last few days and its frightened me out of my wits to be frank: outsidethecamp.org/
Why be frightened of bull-oney?I’ve been reading this site over the last few days and its frightened me out of my wits to be frank: outsidethecamp.org/
Well basically I’m wondering: Is their interpretation of the Gospel true? Is their view of God (which states that God actively decreed evil to happen) true ?Not being a mind reader, I have no way of knowing what your grave concerns are about this.
I’m not going to write a book about all the things that concern me about it.
You and I may have different concerns.
In order to open up discussion for all here, you may want to at least point out the parts you feel are worthy to consider.
I find that the implications of that idea horrific as if its true it means that God cannot be all good.God does not permit evil; He decrees and causes evil. And He does it for His own glory. He caused sin to come into the world in order to (1) glorify Himself in the salvation of the elect, (2) humble His people and cause them to continually need the righteousness of Jesus Christ, and (3) glorify Himself in the damnation of the reprobate.
Your answer is right there in the New Testament.Well basically I’m wondering: Is their interpretation of the Gospel true? Is their view of God (which states that God actively decreed evil to happen) true ?
Depends. God actively decreed Free Will, and evil is a side effect of the freedom of choice. Did he himself decree evil, no. Did he allow it to come into existence, yes, through the act of allowing Free Will.Well basically I’m wondering: Is their interpretation of the Gospel true? I don’t think I can add more than Nine Two did here. As a non believer, I can not comment on the basis for testing truthiness of interpretation of a document or a unbroken chain of traditions or combinations with some of both or both.Well basically I’m wondering: Is their interpretation of the Gospel true? Are you saying that scripture teaches what these guys say?Because they have no anchor and no authority, Protestant groups often run amuck like this “Outside the Camp” group. But that’s the consequence of Sola Scriptura and private interpretation.
